This is my second time buying Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Oil, and I’ll absolutely keep it in my rotation. It’s super gentle on my skin—no irritation, no greasy residue, and it melts away makeup (even stubborn mascara) like a dream. My face feels soft and clean afterward, not stripped or dry like with some foaming cleansers.But here’s the bonus: it works incredibly well for cleaning makeup brushes too! I had tried several brush cleansers before, but nothing has left them as soft and clean as this. A little goes a long way, and it breaks down built-up foundation and powders effortlessly.Smells great, feels luxurious, and serves double duty—what more could you ask for? Burt’s Bees nailed it with this one.

This is an oil based cleanser that comes with two different dispensing options. One is the pump type bottle which is convenient to place on the bathroom counter and have instantly ready for use. The other is a flip type opening cap that is nice for traveling. This cleanser is suggested for normal to dry skin types. Oily complexions or those with active acne might find it a little too oil rich. I have mature skin that tends to get drier in the winter with indoor heating and harsh winter winds. Foaming cleansers can be too harsh sometimes and strip my skin of moisture. Since this cleanser provides both coconut and argan oil it provides a little moisturizing. While this oil cleanser can be used to remove makeup I prefer to use micellar water on a cotton pad or a makeup tissue to remove some of my makeup first then dampen my face with water and massage the cleansing oil in. That way I don't have so much oily dissolved makeup to wash off. The cleanser can leave a slight residue too which I wipe off with a washcloth that has been wrung out in warm water. Dry skins might benefit from some oil residue I prefer clean skin so I can apply serum or a treatment after cleansing and the residue from cleanser doesn't interfere with it. Also, as with any cleanser there can be the potential for eye irritation, so until you know how your skin will react it might be best to avoid around the eye area. I do like that it leaves my skin softer after cleansing and appreciate that this cleanser contains no parabens or phthalates. I hope maybe some of this info helps.

First of all, love Burt’s bees, and I used to use their other cream face wash, and it was awesome and soothing. I was looking for an oil face wash to use to double cleanse and this fit the bill, except when it’s really dry I will just use this because when you wash it off with water it does not leave an oily residue whatsoever and leaves your face clean and moisturized. I use two “dashes” as the bottle has a pop cap, and that’s more than enough. I’ve had it for a while and still have a half full bottle.

I love this product and have been using it for years. Keeps my skin nice and soft and makes makeup removal easy.I gave it only a 4 star review because a significant amount spilled in the box during shipping. Other than the waste caused by shipping, no complaints.

At 62 I have very dry flaky skin, especially when I forget to hydrate. I use this as a final application in the shower because it leaves my skin feeling softer and more hydrated. It doesn’t lather but leaves a lovely oiliness that my skin needs.

Its nice but i have prone skin and this breaks me out, maybe to normal skin it would work better
