Mystic Moments Phenoxyethanol Preservative Liquid - 250g

According to the vendor, it was going to take a month to get my order, but it was at my door step in SEVEN days. Incredibly fast shipping.Mine didn’t leak. However, when I saw all that empty space at the top I thought I was missing quite a bit of product. I weighed it to verify this, and it doesn’t seem like it (see attached pictures). The product advertises 250ml, and the total with bottle was 276ml. That difference should account for the bottle, but I’ll update my review once the container is empty and I can weigh it alone. Note: if you notice, the merchant’s picture looks that empty too.In short, it doesn’t seem like we are being shorted out of product. Now, I am not a chemist, so I don’t know if all that space is perhaps a regulatory feature due to the chemical itself. But I’ve noticed that other liquid ingredients I’ve purchased also appear shorted out when they are not. It seems to be standard. So there’s that. But I’d prefer the bottle to be smaller, so the product looks full (if regulation allows it).As far as how effective of a preservative it is, I will need a year to see when my products go off. But price, shipping and amount 5/5.For those wondering, the SCCS (the European FDA) recommends this ingredient to be a maximum of 1% of your formulation. You’d have to work your math according to the quantities you make.

I am really upset. The product arrive late, yet it was leaking, no protective cover and I don’t think I’ll be using it in my product since it looks contaminated. Looks used to me.
