The wire is really soft and flexible. Audio is warm and clear. Earpiece and tube hang over my ear and stay inserted, even as I walk or jog. The only two points of criticism are the mini audio plug is on the large side. It'll take up a little space. The other point is it's on the expensive side, but it's so perfect. I operate camera for a television news station, out in the field, covering stories and taping interviews, stand-ups, and live shots. Headphones are too big and bulky, and It's hard to wear them, get the camera on my shoulder, and see the viewfinder. And where do I put them when not in use. There's a bunch of wire and the cans would have to ride on top of the battery. I do have a pair for important interviews, but really, the size of the Telex and how it functions is so much more convenient. It's a little ear bud on a wire, most of which is hidden in my PortaBrace, and it's easy to slip on and off my ear, allowing me to acurrately monitor my primary channel of audio, where ever the stick mic or lav is plugged in, channel one or two. It's rare that I have two channels of important audio, and for those situations, two people on camera and in frame being recorded at the same time, I can always get the ear goggles out of the car. I've got about a foot of cable loose, and so I can step away from camera a bit to level the tripod or switch ND filters, batteries or recording media. It's really just enough and it's perfect. Day in and out, the earbud is right there, sounding great.

Telex/RTS/Bosch continue to make a great quality product. These are used when the reporter or anchors forget their earpieces.
