Why does my external measuring device display a different humidity to Oskar?

Oskar & your hygrometer may show diff. values due to placement, airflow, & temperature. A +/-5% tolerance is normal. For accuracy, place Oskar centrally/at least 12 inch. from a wall. Avoid corners/furniture, as this affects measurement & efficiency.

How often should I clean Oskar?

Daily: Refill with fresh water; clean if unused for days. All 2 weeks: Remove wicks, clean with warm water and dish soap, then rinse. All 4 weeks: Descale if needed. Wipe exterior. End of season: Clean, dry, descale, and replace wicks before storing.

Why isn’t the humidity increasing while my Oskar is switched on?

Set output to the highest level. Room size depends on height (standard 8.2 ft) and whether doors are closed. Low humidity may take up to 2 weeks to rise as surfaces absorb moisture. Top up water regularly. Replace wicks every 2 months or if hard.
