I plan on getting my first tattoo soon also I don’t wear makeup at all; so I don’t know anything about makeup. Does this hide tattoos?

For the most part. Depends on where your tattoo is.

Is this a matte or luminous finish?

Matte. It has a slight shine to it, but it won't give you a dewy finish. I usually don't put much powder on when I wear this because it's already matte, thick, and set in place.

Has anyone bought this and used it to cover a tattoo? My work does not allow tats to show, and I would like to wear my knee length dresses and skirts.

It will cover but it takes a lot of thin layers, then you have to use a setting powder or it will rub right off. If you have a large area to cover I think it would be difficult. My daughter uses it for a very small tatt on her wrist.

Would this be comparable to light ivory skin tone?

I'm very very pale, abs even if I found it too light. It almost seemed to have a white undertone. Sadly the 44 was too dark so couldn't find a shade that worked for my pale, cool toned skin.
