Crane Ultrasonic Warm & Cool Mist Air Humidifier for Bedroom, Top Fill, UV Light, 1.2 Gallon Tank, 500 Sq Ft Coverage, With Remote, Grey

I live in a desert and have allergies. I have to add moisture to my room at night or my nose dries out so bad it bleeds. I tried a good half a dozen of these things before I found one that met all my needs, or at least comes close. At night I am very sensitive to every noise and light and this machine fit those needs. It does occasionally make a very soft bubbling sound. Kind of like the bubbling of a small fish tank. The lights have a night mode which turn off all the lights accept the small light letting you know it is in night mode. Personally I am so sensitive I covered that little light with black tape. My only issue is that the warm mist isn't very warm. It is slightly warmer than the cold, but not by much. Probably my favorite thing about it is it is so, so easy to clean, and it stays clean too. I know as long as they keep making them this will be the only humidifier/evaporator I ever buy again. Oh yeah and it doesn't put out that annoying whistle sound that so many of the ultrasonic machines do. That was a huge + for me!!!

Got this because my daughter has 3 of them and likes their performance. It is easy to set up and relatively easy to clean (the misting column is a bit of a challenge, but a thin bottle brush should cover it). It does a nice job of keeping the humidity stable (itchy winter skin resolved in 3 days after installing).

This machine DIED (100% failure) in less than 8 weeks of use. I'm requesting immediate refund or replacement.Winter's climate in Colorado Springs, where I've lived since 1999, is extremely dry. Despite having a high output central humidification system on my home's furnace, we find it necessary to have additional humidifiers in our bedrooms, which run almost continually on winter nights.I have owned probably about dozen room humidifiers and despite they get fairly heavy use in my home, I have always provided cleaning and service as recommended by each manufacturer.To be fair, I was initially favorably impressed with this, my first, Crane brand product. It was quiet and produced a good volume of warm, ultrasonic mist. It also had a nice, functional control panel and was simple to operate.Having owned so many room humidifiers (ranging from about $75 upwards of about $200) over the ~24 years I've lived here, on average they tend to last about three winters each. My Crane humidifier was delivered on 11/19/2023 and stopped functioning on 2/9/2024. The unit was never dropped or abused in any way - it just failed to restart after I refilled the water tank.The panel does illuminate normally light up and the controls seem to function, but no mist is produced, and no "error code" is displayed. Zero mist regardless of the settings I've tried to engage.Kindly do the right thing and either refund what I paid to Amazon Prime, or have them ship me a new unit.Thank YouSteven

Works well enough if you follow the space recommendations. I bought this in winter, and of course with the heat running constantly it could not maintain the humidity above 40% (my house has poor seals around doors and windows) but I could still feel a noticeable difference when I woke up. Sinuses weren't like the Sahara. I regularly run the ionization/UV feature and have not had any problems with mold or mildew. I just wipe it out with a clean cloth and diluted vinegar occasionally.There are a few "quirks" I don't like:-the preset modes aren't great. I always put it on manual mode and set it to what I feel like for that time.-you can only choose humidity settings by the 10's. So 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60%. No numbers like 32 or 45. Probably my biggest complaint.-the essential oil port is very flimsy and falls out a lot. I just removed it so that it doesn't end up broken before I can buy some oils to try.-It will shut down and the "no water" symbol will pop up when it is in fact not empty. I have seen some people here recommending only using filtered water to prevent buildup, or alternatively only tap water because you need ions to run the ionization. Both make sense to me, so I use a mix of distilled water and tap water that has been sitting out for at least a few hours (so that chlorine/chloramines/other gases can escape). But still it will shut down and tell me it's empty no matter which water I use. I have tested all 3 and it can happen anytime. Usually I can just turn it off briefly then restart and it will resume. But when it happens in the middle of the night I'm out of luck.I've only had it for about a month so will update at 6 if things are still going well, or sooner if not.

I really love this humidifier. I've been using the same one for three years and now I bought another one for another room. The main quality for me is that mold does not accumulate in it during use and it can also control the humidity in the room itself. Excellent humidifier 👍
