It plugs the oil pan drain effectively!
Products like this tend to be a one or five star item (it ultimately works, or it doesn't). This one is a five star, because it functionally does exactly what it should do: plug the oil pan drain between oil changes. It was simple to use, and I've had no leaks since my last oil change last week. It is work the price because you don't want an oil leak when prevention is this affordable. I saw no issues with quality control.

Thread pitch was perfect
Oil drain plug fit my Jeep Wrangler 2.4 and my Dodge Journey 2.4. Plug has a high density plactic washer that might flatten if over tightened. The hex head fits tight with a good quality 16 mm wrench or socket. If you have a 3/8 drive 6 or 12 point socket and and a torque bar/rachet I would suggest you torque to 20-25 foot lbs. The plastic washer gives a good seal on older vehicles that may have a rough sealing surface on the oil pan. The most likely reason you are replacing the plug is because it was over tightened and a worn wrench or socket rounded over the hex head.

Great replacement for 2013 Chrysler Town and Country with 3.6 v6Took my van to Walmart for oil change and they rounded the head off my drain plug, next time I changed it.....surprise.The hex hed is larger which is good, more surface area to help prevent rounding.Great value.

It can be used.
I am a Japanese who loves Ford Explorer.And, of course, I'm driving every day.But Ford pulled out of Japan.It was a very sad event.Japanese can not buy Ford parts in Japan.I want to tell the US President.Since Japanese people drive American cars in Japan and want to do maintenance on their own, realize Ford's sales in Japan again.Although the story deviated, this part was fully usable.Thank you.

Direct fit.
Used on a Ford focus. Was a good fit. I also appreciate that it has a bigger bolt head diameter than the stock drain plug.
