Easy to use and helpful for knots in neck and shoulders
A yoga instructor recommended using a pair of old tennis balls for massage of back and neck. I got these instead. Nice balance of comfort and firmness. I have used them both inside the bag, to move them together on either side of my spine, and individually. Glad I made the purchase. As expected, and I use them regularly.

A little too soft for feet but a great tool for massage
I ended up purchasing a harder lacrosse ball type set for my plantar fascia because these are a bit too soft to get at the deeper knots. However I will be keeping these to use on other parts of the body.

Good Firmness, Terrible Residue Flavor
Pros: I don't know what the previous reviewers are on about saying these are harder than advertised, enough to cause tissue damage. That's not true. They either ordered the wrong product, and then reviewed this product, or they were sent the wrong product. The balls I received are a perfect balance between soft and firm to help with releasing knots without being painful/too hard or useless/too soft.Cons: Okay. Hear me out. I didn't lick these or anything. It took me a while to make the connection actually, but one dry winter day, I licked my lips and noticed I this very strong foul rubber taste on my lips and I was like, "What the hell?" I washed my face and moved on with my life. Then a week or so later I was biting my nail (it's s horrible habit, I know!) and there was that taste again. This time I made the connection because I had just used the balls, and when I sniffed them, I knew I'd found the culprit. Normally I don't use them near my face, so I didn't notice the smell. But they do have a rather strong smell/taste that does not dissipate with time. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but it's probably a good idea to wash your hands after you use these, and refrain from touching food for a while.
