****UPDATE****I was contacted by an Anker rep (and I didn't even reach out 1st). As I was saying I normally have great experience with Anker products and had just chalked it up to getting a bad cable. The rep had Anker send me a red powerline USB-C cord and this one works great!! When I needed a USB-C cord I knew that if you buy a cheap one you could ruin your device so Anker popped into my mind as quality power/charging hardware. The black USB-C cord wasn't good but the replacement is solid and the braided cable is made well. Even if Anker hadn't reached out to me I would have still tried another Anker product. Thanks Anker for making the situation right!!!I usually have a great experience with all my Anker products. The USB C cord fit perfectly and felt like it was made out of high quality material. It worked great for about a month and then one day I plugged my LG V20 in the charge and nothing happened. (It eventually started to charge but I had a message on my phone asking if I was using an original cord. It charged but the quick charge wasn't working. It was super slow) I unplugged it and kept trying to get it to plug in. It was like something had slipped out of place and wouldn't allow the USB C to go all the way in. I honestly thought it was my phone and not the cord because of the other great Anker purchases that I had no problem with. I tried the USB C cord that came with my phone and it fit perfectly and charged the phone up like it should. The reason that I purchased the Anker USB C cord was to get a longer cord. The one that comes with the phone is only about 3 feet long.But it works, now I'm on the search for a new USB C cord.

So here's the thing, I bought this USB-C charger cable THREE YEARS AGO. Recently, the plug itself got bended by accident and I was bummed (who wouldn't?) that I'd have to buy another to replace this one that I've used as my go-to charger anywhere in the house. I especially loved that the cable does not break easily.Background: I have changed all my powerbanks, chargers, USB cables to Anker after I bought this charging cable. They may be expensive but for me it's money well spent. AFAIK none of my previous powerbanks work now to be honest, like they died.. I charged three of my previous powerbanks all day and the light indicator either doesn't go past 1 or doesn't light at all. The cables I had before? Threw them away. They can't find the gadget I'm trying to charge, if it does it won't charge the battery even if it's been plugged for a day. Those were big waste of money!As I was browsing Amazon before purchasing this before, I remember reading a lifetime warranty about their products. So I thought about it if I should message them about my problem but I wasn't expecting any feedback since three years have passed for this purchase. I assume the "no return, no exchange" policy is implemented after 6-12 months.I sent in my message to them explaining what happened with the cable, plus these photos to illustrate the problem, with no expectations of hearing back. After a few days, I received a reply from them asking for photos for proof, order number, serial number and shipping information Surprisingly, they approved and I was granted a replacement for my broken 3-year old Anker 6m USB-C power cable. Thank you, Anker!Sorry this will sound naive but I am surprised that warranty services like this actually exist. Props to Anker (and to Celine for assisting me throughout) for holding on to that warranty service promise!!

I have had the best luck with these cables. They last forever and take a beating!

I started buying anker brand cord a few years back and have not stopped. They work great, look great, and take a lot of use. I used this one in my work truck and it worked great for charging Apple car play and lots of movement.
