Since our espresso machine came with a flimsy plastic scoop/'tamper' combo, resulting in mushy pucks and poor flavour, I decided to get the right tool for the job. This is a true-to-size, heavy hunk of metal that makes it easy to make a nice, even puck, thus fully extracting the flavour from the coffee.

I bought a De'Longhi Coffee machine recently and the original tamper from De'Longhi is quite expensive, so I bought the Apexstone tamper instead and I am very happy with it, as it's suitable for my De'Longhi pump espresso maker!
