Royal Ossetra Caviar, Farmed, Special Selection, 1-Ounce Jar

This is best caviar I have tried thus far. Not too salty, good rich flavor. I would get it again on special occasion due the cost. But I really enjoyed it on some toast and some shrimp and leafy veggies on the side.

I’m no caviar expert for sure. Only had a couple of times in my life. This tasted good to me. Not salty, with the buttery flavor like others have mentioned. Not fishy, and mild overall flavor. My kids liked it probably for the fact it was so mild. I don’t know how it compares to other brands, but I’d eat it again

We are new to caviar, having only been to a taste test dinner and had 3 farmed caviars from Israel. This seemed a medium-reasonable price and was great with the traditional accompaniments. It was a hit at the party. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars: it is not as good as the best caviar (also much more expensive) that we had tried, but it is good for the price, and I would buy it again.

Very good and a great value

I eat quite a bit of caviar, of many varieties, species, countries, etc.This product -- sold as "Ossetra" -- was by far the worst caviar I've ever eaten.Virtually tasteless!Finally I ate it "straight", and determined it actually had a mild but discernible taste of "fish gone bad".(Note: bottom label read "Amur Kaluga Hybrid" -- but this tasteless product certainly was not Kaluga).Also be careful with a related review of this product, which suggests purchasing from "caviarastrakhan.com".That site is a complete scam -- as are many sites selling supposedly Russian sturgeon caviar.

very good taste, slightly salty, buttery smooth consistency. Would recommend the purchase of this product.
