It works but....
Bought this for a trip to Mexico where certain sunscreens are banned. I thought it was rather expensive for a small tube.It did work though. I spent several days in the sun including swimming and in parks and did not burn.As others have noted though it doesn't rub in very well. If you weren't white to begin with you will be after applying this stuff.I will say it is much more waterproof than typical sunscreens. After being in water for more than 2 hrs I could still see the areas of my skin where it hadn't been fully rubbed in still had white sunscreen streaks on them.It also doesn't smell bad. So you won't have that tell tale sunscreen smell. I do like that about this sunscreen.Overall its not bad. It does work. I kind of prefer sunscreens that actually rub in though.

Good If You Don't Care About Ghostly Pallor
I referee soccer, so I need a really good sunscreen for my face, neck, lower arms, and the front and back of my knees; everything else is covered up. I read about this sunscreen on a list of super environmentally friendly sunscreen products and thought I would give it a whirl. It's adequately priced for a mineral-based product. It also protects well; I had it on in full sun for about 5 hours last weekend, and while I got more tanned, I did not get burned. That's the good part. The bad part is that I looked like Casper the Friendly Ghost Ref. This stuff goes on white and stays white. I think if I was on a beach, I wouldn't mind so much. But being out and around people, yeah, it was a little much. It looks like I had sunscreen on that I just hadn't rubbed all the way in, but there was no amount of rubbing that would have made this stuff absorb and more/faster. Maybe I used too much and that was the issue. Regardless, it made me look pale, even after hours of sweating. If you're okay with that, this is a great product. If you are looking for sunscreen that can't be seen, look somewhere else. I'll give this another shot and use less next time to see if that makes a difference. As it is, however, this will not be the first bottle for which I reach.

Offers no protection for the sun
If I could leave no starts I would. I will never buy sunscreen from Amazon again. This product offered no protection from the sun at all. I usually use Blue Lizard on my daughter but bought this product based on EWG’s recommendation. My daughter used this sunscreen and burnt within 30 min, my other kid had Blue Lizard on and was fine. Both same complexion both applied properly. Next day I used it on my son just to see if it was me and sure enough I had to use a different sunscreen on my son to avoid him burning. Buying this sunscreen is a waste of money and dangerous as it offers no protection.

Not your mother's sunscreen. .
I take ingredients very seriously. Especially for things I put on or in my body everyday. I've started getting this sunscreen auto shipped every two months, as a way to hold myself accountable with daily use regardless of my activity, and to avoid needing to buy something on impulse.I've done plenty of research and ended up here with Stream2Sea. (Past products ingredients changed and have pollutants and endocrine disruptors, no thanks)I use the Yuka app to compare and dig deeper into ingredients of cosmetics and food as a jumping off point, it's been invaluable. This sunscreen goes a LONG way. It is said you need about a shot glass worth for your entire body, unlike run-of-the-mill sunscreens that you need to lather on to get a good layer of coverage. That's why I don't mind paying more for less product that is quality & safe. For me and for the ocean.I have fair skin and can burn easily but I'm more concerned these days with sun exposure in general because skin cancer is so common and living in Florida feels much different than living in Michigan, ha!So, to sum up, start with less and blend, blend. The white cast you might end up with will fade and with regular use you can mostly avoid. For my face I use Fuka Eri. It's a Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide non nano vegan formula that's reefsafe and cruelty free.I keep it just outside on the back porch so it stays soft for easy application and the tinted version I cut with a tiny bit of coconut oil so it goes on like moisturizer and makes the product go farther avoiding unnecessary waste. 🙂Hope this review helps. ☀️🧴

Approved by EWG- Nurse Approved
Approved by EWG environmental working group. if you're not familiar with this group please check them out! This product is Nurse Approved! EWG are Powerhouse in alerting the government and consumers of dangerous chemicals. The European Union has banned many chemicals that are still used in the United States that are dangerous for human consumption. They also have an app where you could look up any product and it tells you on a scale the chemical exposures you may experience. Who wants to expose themselves and their family more dangerous chemicals? Remember the zinc sunscreen in the 80s and the life guards with the white noses? This sunscreen goes on thick and because of the zinc content does not rub in very easily and stays very white on the skin. I just use a few drops of water to rub it into the skin a little better so I'm not Ghostly white. I've used it four times this summer so far with hours of sun exposure paddleboarding and have not experienced any sun burns. Tanning nicely. It's expensive for the size and the amount of suntan lotion that you get. Knowing that I'm not exposing myself to additional harmful chemicals is worth it for me!

Odd colored film on skin
I'm sure it works great but it leaves a odd colored film on your skin. Kinda white, milky that my skin looked purple burntt. I was hesitant to use it unless desperate.
