Okay, I'm a cheap ass . . . just ask my wife and she'll tell you that. Our cat food container has a soup can with a pinched lip on one side that I use for filling the feeder. I've talked about putting a handle of some kind on it for years. Now that arthritis has set into my hands, I find it uncomfortable to hold the soup can by the ends to scoop cat food.My wife feeds about half of our income to the birdies in the yard, or so it seems. We go through a LOT of birdseed. She transfers the bags of seed into 5 gallon buckets to store in the shed since they stack so well. From the bucket, she uses a plastic scoop to fill the feeders. The scoop is too large to easily fit into the bucket. So, she told me to find her another scoop for her birdseed.I stumbled onto the listing for 2 stainless steel scoops for a little over eight bucks. I didn't expect too much, but there are two of them, so maybe we could kill two birds . . . oh, let me rephrase that, maybe we could both use one. I ordered these, and they arrived in two days with Prime shipping.Okay, the WOW Factor - Wow! They are made well, sturdy and have a handle. I mean they are thick stainless steel and appear that they will last a long time. They work well in her 5 gallon buckets, and my cat foot can. The only drawback I see, for my hand size, I only get a couple fingers in the handle, but I found them easy to use anyhow.Great price, well made to last, I like them, my wife likes them, they work better than an old soup can . . . what's not to like!? Even if you don't currently need them, you'll find a use for them, so buy a set or two! You'll thank me later.

I thought it was going to be a little bigger than what it was prior to receiving the "scoop". I got lucky because it works just as it needs too. If it was bigger, it would be an inconvenience for my needs. with that being said it hold 2-3 cups of play sand. Its metal and scoops up through loose material very well and confident in its ability to dig into tougher materials also. I would say that it's held up well. I've dropped it a time or 6 and it's still together (tailgate height). I use it for pesticides, and fertilizers.

This scoop fills a small bird feeder perfectly. One scoop! I love that it’s stainless steel, and seems sturdy. Not sure about clean up, the handle seems to have sharp edges, may be harder to clean, but using it for bird seed, I doubt I’ll have to clean it up much. I’ll just keep the scoop right in the seed bag.

I like this product for scooping dog food. The only negative thing I’d have to say about this is how sharp the top of this scooper is…Other than that it’s a great product.

A common problem is on the handle close to the top spot welding is done. Sometimes they leave a sharp point. If you have a little sandpaper, no issue, but they should’ve taken care of that.Otherwise, it’s a wonderful scoop, perfectly sized, and we’re definitely keeping. Solid, well built.

this the perfect scooper for our large dog food it gives them the perfect amount every scoop. I love that it is stainless steel so it is easy to clean and looks good sitting on shelf awaiting next feeding, I would definitely recommend this this item for anyone who wants to make a wise choice and could use for multiple uses if needed to.

Made nice and sturdy and this works perfect for getting my dog food out of the bag, holds approximately 1-1/2 cups, and it is exactly what is needed twice daily, no more leaving my own measuring cups in the dog food bag!

It will hold a little more than 12oz dry measure upright, and approx. 16oz at an angle (as you would use it as a scoop).Review: The cylinder itself seems to be well made. It is either of stamped construction or very finely welded as there is no visible seem at the bottom of the cylinder; the interior metal has a good polish to it (mirror finish) the exterior slightly less so. The metal thickness is ok for what it is designed for, the open end will deform with hand pressure (it does bounce back) but it wouldn't survive being stepped on. The spot welded handle on the one I received was attached at a slight angle (not straight up and down in relation to the cylinder). Most folks probably wouldn't notice but I take it as a sign of poor quality control. Other reviewers have remarked that the handle is small and I agree, I can only get two fingers inside.For what it is and for the price paid, I rate it 3 stars. A better handle design, build quality, slightly thicker gauge metal and made in the USA would have made it an easy 5 star.
