This was even lovelier than anticipated and the lace is nice and heavy - almost like a crocheted lace.Arrives in a little tin that's neat for gift giving. I just stuck a bow on top for presentation.I bought it to use as a birthday crown for my mom's birthday. It worked great in her short layered hair and she wore it as shown in the picture. In mine (pictured) you have to play with it a bit to make it sit right. When I pulled it down like the picture, I couldn't get it to stop making my hair bunch up. However, I really liked how it looked just sitting on my hair.Elastic at the back allows you to wear it however you want and I thought it was quite comfortable. Mom thought so too.Everything was on it very securely. My mom wore it all day.

I ordered this piece to go with my mermaid costume for halloween. It was a great addition to my outfit. It is very beautiful. The beads and stars stayed on the headband great, even with dancing all night. I defintely recommend this starfish headband.
