I really hate spending money on professionals when it's something I can easily fix. That being Said I'm not an appliance tech, so the speciality tools are not in abundance in my toolbox. These pliers are of the same quality and in some cases better than the chain stores. Easily remove and install the rings and fits a large assortment of rings. Worth the buy if you are a diy person.

Makes working on washer easy-peasy. This is one of those tools that you dont appreciate until you need it. It easily helped me remove and reinstall the wire and spring that holds the front loading rubber boot on my LG washer. Sturdy and well built. It is worth the minimal price to do the job right!

This may work best for the original boot retaining ring, but the tips are a tad too big for the cheesy ten dollar band. I had to bench grind one side a bit which is tricky as you need the notch left as it is to spread. Can't think of any other use for it (other than this application) either.

The only use for this tool is to stretch the springs that hold the gasket on a front load washing machine so the gasket can be replaced. It does really well at this, and with it:1. You will be able to trade out your old moldy gross gasket for a fresh clean one.2. You will save the cost of an appliance tech's service call and fee.3. It will fill you with a sense of accomplishment and self-pride.4. You will walk a bit taller, your wife will look at you with a new spark in her eyes, and oh my gosh, is your hairline coming back a bit?5. You will find ways to work it into conversation with friends and family, like with your 6 year old daughter - "Hey, that Slinky is a giant spring. You know, that's a lot like the spring that I used the Moker Washing Machine Expansion Tool on to change that washing machine gasket."6. Your family gets more and more annoyed, especially when they walk through the laundry room and you're standing there waiting to point at the washer and demonstrate how you used the Moker Washing Machine Expansion Tool on it.7.
