I went thru a good number of brands looking for a solid cologne in a spiced vanilla scent !Most were merely mustache wax, one was actually candela wax, ( candle wax) but this one I found it to be perfect for my preferenceSoftness is just right not waxy nor is it oily and the fragrance is nice and soft. It tends to last most of the day as well. This will be my go too moving forward

I originally reviewed this product as being too faint to make a decent cologne and even suggest it might be better as a beard balm.Well as fate would have it, I grew a beard. Had this just sitting with my liquid colognes and got to reading the ingredients and knowing a lot more about beard and skin care than before thought "yea this is beeswax heavy with shea butter and sweet almond oil, be good for balm". Well this is where I learn the truth of this product. I scrape a little off with my nail like a balm and applied to my beard. Holy crap the smell is strong when applied more generously than just swirling your finger across it. Well while it's definitely not bad for a beard it's too strong as balm and I started actually using it has a cologne by scraping a small amount off melt in my hands and rub on my neck and pulse points. I can smell it longer than I smell even my more expensive liquid colognes and feel it's better for the skin than the liquid ones. Overall still a little sweet for my taste but it is a effective cologne if applied correctly and has the benefit of being able to adjust it's potency with amount applied.

Though I am not new to growing a beard, I am new to caring for it, in terms of creams and balms. I bought this because I liked the smell of a sandalwood beard balm I'd been using. This was labelled as a "solid cologne," a foreign idea to me, but I liked the sound of it and I liked the way it was packaged, in this tin can. I have received several compliments on this. I apply it to my neck and shaved head, where upon first contact it registers a cool sensation. The scent is never overpowering; a faint whiff, actually, so that those who get close to you won't mind it's practical, masculine accent.It's good stuff, and I've bought it twice already. I highly recommend it for those of you who enjoy colognes but find most of them too heavy.And, by the way, as I said, I bought this twice. The first time, it came in a smaller tin can, with a vintage appearance. I really liked that can. You could carry it in your pocket. The second time, it came in a taller container, about the same circumference. I preferred the smaller tin can, just for the look, though it appears to me you get nearly twice as much, the way it's packaged now.________________________________________________________________________________

Ok so here's the issue. I've bought this numerous times in the past. I loved it. For the price, scent and simplicity 5 stars. I may have even done a review on it in the past too. However, the last purchase I made had more of a petroleum substance instead of the typical waxy substance and it had a weird sharp floral scent to it. So I was thinking, maybe because of the summer heat, I got a bad jar. So I exchanged it and the second was the exact same texture and scent. So now I'm turned off from it and don't want to buy it anymore. So I just wanted to say, if heat made it go bad, I'm sorry for this post. But if Oak City changed the formula, my constructive criticism is it was way better before. Hope this helps. If heat is ruining it maybe use a preventive tact when shipping. That's all

I use this everyday and I still have almost half left from the bottle that I purchased in November. It smells amazing, and I bought the tobacco vanilla flavor as well off of their website. It's equally delicious. Highly recommend!

Smells good and manly. I get many compliments. The smell is just enough not to bother others but they get a wif of it. I recommend.

I just happen to find this product while searching for traditional cologne sprays. I have since purchased a couple different flavors, one for summer and one for the colder months. I like to smell like the beach in the summer, and a pine forest in the winter. This is an absolutely great product because it is small, easy to travel with or keep in a bag to refresh throughout the day. Because it is more like a lotion that you rub on, you are not filling the room with fragrance or getting it on anything other than right where you want it. The fragrances are absolutely amazing and I will definitely be coming back for more when I run out! Just brilliant!

I really like the scent but does not make it through the day.
