These are the best knives and they self sharpen every time you pull them out of the holder - it’s wonderful. I highly recommend them.

My sister and I bought these knives for our mom for Christmas because she's been wanting them forever! Each slot has a sharpener inside and each slot is labeled with which knife belongs inside. The sleek design is nice and looks so clean on her minimalistic counters. The knives cut so well and she loves using them in the kitchen! My dad has even started sneaking to use them because he likes her set better than the set that he has sworn by for years!10/10 recommend purchasing these!

These knives for me are just OK. It is so hard to find good smal knives. There is only 2 small knives and the rest are the big ones. I have had Henkle over 20 years but it seems they are getting dull. The block is very big as well I had to re-arrange my counter space.

** updated spoke with product customer service was told to box ALL of it and return it to Amazon seller, instead of just replacing broken piece.For that reason 1 star for product shipping/packaging, quality, and inconvenience.The knives arrived in sealed amazon shipping box with no apparent damage. Opened the outer box to reveal the inner brand packaging, again sealed no apparent damage. Opened the package to unpack the knives and block only to find utter chaos. The block was wrapped in plastic (no big deal) the knives were supposed to be in a separate smaller box each individually wrapped with blade in cardboard sleeve and tip protectors(I assume since some were and empty sleeves tips spilled out). I lifted the box out with knives sliding out all over the place. The inner knife box was opened and in upside down.That was fun trying to get the knives that were exposed out of the box without me or the dogs getting hurt.The scissors arrived damaged.On a side note - after finally composing myself from the unpacking knife attack I washed the set and used a couple for dinner.They are sharp, handle well (when properly prepared for knife handling) and look nice in my kitchen.Just disappointed in the arrival of (why/how was it opened and in chaos inside but sealed outside) packaging and already appearance (not function) damage..

The media could not be loaded. I bought this knife set to replace an 8 yr old cheap Farberware knife set that worked great for many years and I thought it was time for an upgrade.Things I like:1) knives are sharp and work as intended2) self sharpening aspect3) Looks aesthetically pleasing in the block from afarThings I don’t like:1) block is unnecessarily bulky2) I really dislike the black plastic handles. They were scuffed up right out of the box and would definitely not hold up to anything when washing besides a cotton washcloth3) the knives in the block that aren’t self sharpening are super loose in their respective slots and not form fitting at allOverall, I don’t think the quality matches the price tag. However, if you don’t care about anything besides if the knives do work, then you might not care. A little bit disappointed. I wish Henckels was on par with their parent company, Zwilling.
