Good for Hummingbird Catering!
This is the second pair I have bought. I love them and the price is right. In response to other reviews I have found:I let the hummingbirds tell me when it’s time for a refill. If they go to a feeder and then immediately go to the other I know it’s as good as empty. I often tap them to get any air bubbles out of the bottom, but it’s pretty easy to see when it’s empty, even with the dye-free sugar water I give them.I turn the feeder upside down in the kitchen sink. Putting it in the drain takes care of it not sitting flat because of the hanger. It’s very stable and easy to fill. I like the large opening as I can use a dish brush to clean the inside and turn it upside down and spray up into it to ensure it is rinsed thoroughly. The opening is large enough I can pour in nectar without a funnel.I bought ant moats to hang over the feeders that I put water in. That took care of those critters. I bought nice (spendy) red plastic domes that the moat is over and the feeder hangs under. There were cheaper domes but reviews said they faded. I have one that has hung all year for three years in the desert sun and is bright red as a newer one I bought recently. It gives the birds a little shade, keeps the nectar from getting watered down when we get rain and the hummingbirds like eating under the domes when it is raining. My first two feeders have been in the SoCal desert sun year round for three years and the plastic has held up beautifully. They are still red and nice two. I have so many hummers to feed I’m hanging another. They like all the space at the lunch counter with plenty of seats. I was concerned when I stopped using the red nectar that they wouldn’t be attracted to the feeders, but my own boiled sugar water is fine with them and they seem to like it better. There is plenty of red on these feeders that they know right where they are and what’s inside them.I wondered at first why perfectly good water we drink had to be boiled for nectar. Sugar dissolves in hot tap water. What I quickly found is boiling the mixture for a few minutes prevents mold from building up in the feeder. Don’t waste your money on dye-free nectar mix. It’s sugar, duh only they use the glucose whatever name (and charge six times more for it). Buy good old cheap sugar: one cup to four cups water. That fills one feeder so I usually make a double batch daily. Yep, I have that many little “sugar suckers” as I call them and they eat that much. When it gets cold they need a little extra energy so I add a couple extra tablespoons to the mix. They are out before the sun is up till it is going down. I’d serve h’or deourves too but I don’t know what they like. For the price, these feeders are very good. I would spend a few dollars more if I had too but these have all the features I need. It gives me more cash to spend on sugar!

Best feeders I've had in 10 years!
My porch is a hummingbird haven from Spring to Fall every year. I currently have 5 of these quart-size/32oz feeders out and have to refill them every other day, if not sooner. [I probably should order another pair!]I've tried a variety of feeder designs over the years and this is the best one by far. It's sturdy, easy to clean, and durable (the only one I lost got blown away in a wind storm). The volume they hold is also a big plus for me, considering how frequently I already have to refill them. There are other fancy feeders out there but most don't have openings adequate for thorough cleaning. This is holding sugar water, which spoils in the heat and grows bacteria. Cleaning is essential. [Another brand's popular design is built with a mason jar container that has a metal base that rusts within a few months of use and cannot be replaced. That's another reason I came back to this item instead.]If you or a friend enjoys hummingbirds, buy this set of feeders! Keep it clean and refilled regularly with 1:4 ratio of sugar:water. (For this size feeder, that's 1 cup sugar + 4 cups water.) I like to start off with the feeder partially filled until I'm sure the hummies are drinking it all before it spoils, then I increase the fill from there. Hopefully they will soon find your location and entertain you with their aerial jousting displays. Enjoy!

Best Feeder Ever
For years we used the Perky Pets glass feeders and when we needed more (dropping the glass bottle isn't a good idea) I found these. Main reason I love these is how easy they are to clean. The bottom is in 2 pieces so it's easy to get inside and the bottle opening is large enough to put in a washcloth. The other brand took way too much time to clean.Every once in awhile we do have a couple of bees that will take over part of a feeder but with 5 feeders the hummingbirds just go to another feeder. For the first time ever, this year we had orioles at our feeders. Not being knowledgeable about birds I had to look up what they were. Never knew orioles liked hummingbird feeders and we were happy to let them feed; there is plenty for all of them. After using these for 3 years we've never had a problem with the bottle part cracking from the sun even during the summer when we get above 90 for 2 months (yes I know it's a lot hotter and hotter longer in other places). Our feeders are on Shepard's hooks so when there is an ant problem we spray the bottom half the shaft with Pam. This keeps the ants away and protects the birds from getting it on their wings. We highly recommend these feeders and buying 2 packs is a bargain.
