Bandai Hobby - The Mandalorian - The Mandalorian Beskar Armor (Silver Coating Ver.), Bandai Spirits Star Wars 1/12 Model Kit

First and foremost, this was an expensive figure to build. I spent $50. I don't know if it's a scalper price or that's just how much it is? BUT, I do not regret this purchase at all. I've just started in this hobby, and I've built a Naruto figuarts, and a couple of HG Gundams. This one was by far my most enjoyable with my limited skillset.Assembly:Easy to read instructions and its so well organized about simply making you stop whatever you're doing to make sure your figure looks like it should be before you move to the next step!! Took me 3-4 hours to fully put it together. That includes quality control with sanding away the excess from each piece.Quality:You get what you pay for!! Now mind you, i'm not sure if it is actually worth the $50 I paid for it, BUT, its some good quality stuff. everything from the material, to the placement of the pieces are extremely well done IMO. It's not as poseable as I would like, but I also think its by design. With that much gear, is Mando really going to be able to be as flexible? probably not. So in a sense, with all the gear he's got, he's realistically poseable.Aesthetic:Without painting it, the figure looks amazing already. The instructions also give you the actual color you need to look for according to each piece, so they lay it out for you already. after full assembly, i don't think i've felt this good about a build by default and not had to do anything extra like painting, for any figures i've built thus far.Value:Like I said, $50 is outrageous!! but i'm new to the hobby, but this very well could be worth that much since its the shiny coated beskar version? Quality shows though, everything is solid, and it looks beautiful once you're done. To contrast, maybe its because of popularity, but there is the Boba Fett Bandai hobby figure floating around that's only $20!! it does require a lot of customization if you want to make it look rugged though.I recommend purchasing this @ $50. anything more, would have been my thresh hold though. Or maybe i'm just cheap? LOL. either way, extremely satisfied with this Mando Bandai Hobby figure. I can't wait to paint it!! probably practice on some technique first so i don't mess it up.

This is pretty easy to put together but also having some experience with Gunpla is an added bonus here, as this is basically the same thing as building a HG (High Grade) Gundam but it's Mando.2 complaints about this kit:1 - The ammo canisters for the rifle are unpainted and they give you these tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny silver sticker strips and dot stickers to use to make them look accurate. I did not bother with those stickers, and just used silver paint instead. That was easier to do and less headache. I left the canisters on the bandolier unpainted and painted the ones on the belt (albeit not perfectly) to show you the difference. I'm going to go back and repaint the belt ones and paint the bandolier canisters.2 - The right hand is the only one that has interchangeable palms to have Mando hold the various weapons. I wanted to pose him holding the blaster in his right hand while holding the darksaber or beskar spear in his left but nope...you can only have him old one weapon at a time in the right hand only. The left hand only has 2 interchangeable palms....1 is a closed fist and the other an open hand, but the gap between the thumb and the rest of his palm is too large to have him hold anything. Whatever weapon I put in the left hand just falls off.

I've never done a model before, and I picked this up simply for one I was curious about it as a hobby and two looking at this compared to a action figure, it was more detailed. After taking the time and effort this was money well spent. While not done, need to put the decals on it, I'm in love with the poses and shots I can put him in and get. They are simply unmatched.

Great gift for a friend or just to build something.It is time consuming but overall it came out great.

The kit is great but, paying extra for the silver coated version is a waste of money, as the sprue gates are on the edge of the silver pieces rather than under gated. This means that, without touching up the silver coating, the top of Mando's helmet, one top edge spot of the front armor, and spots on the rest of the armor will have a grey spot from the sprue gate. If these parts were under gated, I would have given it a 5 but I feel the extra money paid for the silver coated version was a waste since it almost doubles the price

Is it criminal that they doubled the price just to make Mando's armor shiny? Maybe, but it looks so good. Please be aware that this is a model kit. All the parts are beautifully modeled and fit perfectly together. No glue required, but you will need a good pair of sprue cutters or an X-ACTO knife to cleanly remove all the parts. The stickers can be a pain in the a$$ to put on, but are well worth it. Phenomenal kit, and can't wait to make more.

No response to refund request. This was such a horrible misrepresentation of the product that I am willing to pay the outrageous cost for overseas shipping just so the seller understands that these type of scams are not ok. This product is definitely not worth the 100 dollars I paid, not worth the 64 dollars it currently sells for. This product is very cheap plastic.
