Model 9603 6x9 Great sound over stock speakers especially considering the low price.
These 6 x 9 speakers fit perfectly in the front doors of my 2005 Nissan Xterra. I am running them from a cheap clarion head unit and I really am impressed with the sound quality/price point. I took a minute to tweak the sound settings on the head unit and was able to achieve a nicely balanced and rich sound. Cruchfield said that this model would not fit in a 2005 Xterra but they went in without a problem. Just make absolutely sure to connect the wires correctly. If they get mixed up the sound quality will suffer greatly. A google search of your vehicles wiring color codes will help avoid any mix ups.

Incredible
We installed these in the rear deck of my sons 2003 Honda accord coupe and they are incredible. Good deep bass clear crisp highs. No distortion at hi volume. He has an aftermarket head unit with 18w x 4 channels and these with the stage 3 6.5” door speakers shake the rearview mirror. I am extremely impressed. Back in the 1990’s in the south we called it hum. Man does his car have some hum in it now. If you are looking to replace your factory speakers and don’t want to mess with amps you will not be disappointed. Just make sure to match the rms watts and ohm rating as close as you can to your factory speakers if you are using the factory head unit. Get these you will not be disappointed.

6 x 9 - Good bass, Good value for the money
For all the reviews complaining about the lack of bass, y'all crazy...Seriously though, if you install these correctly, correct + - polarity, properly mounted in some enclosure with resonance, then these things have plenty of bass for a full-range speaker. Bass quality is maybe half the speaker itself and half the enclosure. If you put these in some rattley metal door with no absorption material, insulation or even proper sealant, then it's gonna sound like crap. A $200 set of speakers would also sound like crap.I mounted mine in the ceiling of my RV to replace the terrible little Jensen surface mount speakers. I made wood mounting frames that are 1 1/2" deep which also utilized the air space from the ceiling which is well insulated. The bass is fantastic for 6x9 speakers and lightyears above the sorry speakers they replaced. I'm also just running these from the RV's low-end JVC Media Pro 5000 receiver. If I had a decent amp connected, they would sound even better.Sound quality | So, other than bass, they are OK, but not great. Don't get me wrong, for the price, they're great. But if you compare them to some much more expensive Infinity or even higher end JBL speakers, they are nowhere as good. If you compare to other 6x9 speakers in this price range, they're fine. From a distance, you don't really notice anything but if you get close, you can hear some distortion. Now, that could be partially because of my sub-par receiver so take that for what it's worth.Installation | It's a speaker. 4 holes, 4 screws and you're good. The only part I'm not a fan of is how the grill mounts. You have to mount the grill, surround and speaker all at once with just the same 4 screws. I would have preferred the speaker mount alone, then the grill mount separately with clips or additional screws. Once you get it mounted though it looks good and is solid.

What you really want to know
Okay so I just bought and installed these and here is my review. The bass is great, the sound is great, and the instillation is easy. I just used wire strippers on my stock speaker wires and added crimps and was able to plug them in no problem. They had a little wiggle but we will hope for the best. Some advice before installing:-make sure your alignment fits the standard 6x9 speaker size. I have early 2000’s Lexus and had to buy a spacer so I could actually mount it to the door.

JUST WOW!!
I installed these in my Prius and now I never want to leave the drivers seat. The sound quality is unparalleled for the price. I have several JBL products because they never cease to bring high quality for a low price. JBL outperformed themselves on this one. Highly recommend!!

WORK GREAT!!
The media could not be loaded. These work great!! Especially for the price. I am only running these 2 in my video. I seen other reviews saying they didn't or they didn't have bass. I'm guessing those people wired them backward. These have great bass and I am just running a cheap Kenwood 50w per speaker head unit. I would love to hear these at 100w per. If you looking for a good quilty speaker for a low price these are it!

Great Priced Speaker!
Just installed these JBL 6x9's on my 2020 Tacoma front doors. Blows the factory junk speaker away. Very happy with the sound quality using stock receiver. It amazes me the size of the magnet on the Factory speakers tha I took out compared to the new JBL's.Now looking to do the back doors with the 6 1/2 JBL's very easy install using the Metra speaker adapters and quick connect speaker wire harness. I see some bad reviews but not sure what their issue is but I'm happy. Lots of brand options and happy with my New JBL's.
