Surprisingly well made and attractive; the photos don't do it justice. It is a touch oily when you first get it, but a light rub with a soft cloth solves that easily. This size really can pull off a bullfrog sound if you play it at the right speed, which you can find quickly through a little trial and error. It also works well as a guiro, which was my purpose in buying it. It's a little deeper in pitch than most guiros, but the timbre and volume are nice. Well worth the price i paid.

A gift for one who majored in music and played percussion instruments in local orchestra. She was very happy with the sound and size.

This is exactly as shown. It has wonderful deep tones. It is a lovely compliment to the smaller frog guiros.

For the money value of the item, it was not carved very well. There were chips in it and it was not sanded/buffed. I don't think that they put much care into making the product. I also thought it would sound deeper. Not to mention the Amazon bag it came in was tore open. Not a fan! I returned it.

The media could not be loaded. The product packaging is a plastic bag with a hang tag at the top and Amazon shipped that bag in a bag. So there’s high-likelyhood for damage while shipping.Unwrapping the frog, everything in here is very oily. I rubbed the frog with a paper towel and a lot of the oil came off. You can also feel the oil on your hands when you’re playing it.For the best sound, you also have to lift it up slightly. It can’t be on a perfectly flat surface or it won’t resonate correctly.Pros:It makes an amazing croak sound. It’s very soothing. It’s got a very deep sound versus the smaller frogs on Amazon. And the design looks very nice. It’s HUGE, Nintendo switch in photos for scale. You really have to hear it in person, the deep sound doesn’t come across accurately on videos.Cons:It can break easily during shipping because of how it’s packaged by the manufacturer and by Amazon. It’s very oily. And the croak sound doesn’t sound good if you go front to back. Only sounds good back to front. The mallet has a rough spots on the top like it hadn’t been sanded and it’s got some chipping on the inside. 7/10 workmanship. Which is ok for the price.

I bought this as a prop for a skit, and one I was done using it I gave it to my nephew who LOVES frogs. He was so ecstatic and happy to take it home and I’m sure drive his parents crazy. The frog creates a low croaking sound when you drag the dowel up the spine of the frog. Very cool toy and gift!
