I have a great of art work with heavy frames. The French cleats are excellent. In addition you feel safe because you know that the art work will stay on the wall.

Bought a few dozen of these. Worked like a charm

The cleats are adequate but the mounting hardware I believe is not. I used my own hardware, but someone who doesn't have this available might have trouble. I don't trust the hardware provided to take the weight claimed in the description.

So easy and fast to hang a picture, mirror or a painting!

The metal is a bit soft. But the problem I encountered was the "mollys" not being heavy duty enough, which allowed the cleat to pull from the drywall a bit. This in turn caused the picture (or mirror for me) to hang unevenly. Once I installed stronger (larger) mollys the problem was corrected. If you are lucky enough to hit a stud, no problem. Photo Provided: The 2 larger mirrors have 2 cleats each. The small mirror has 1 cleat.

I tried German cleats and English cleats, but they just don't work as well. French cleats are the way to go. These worked great to mount a solid wood headboard to the wall. I'm confident that the headboard won't fall off the wall and kill me in my sleep. low profile, very strong.
