These things are handier than pockets on a shirt! I use them as a drive belt replacement on my hay rake. Replacing the oem belt is a 4 hour job. These make it about a 20 minute job.

This was the third variable length V belt I purchased from Amazon to fit the 5/8” wide pulleys on my lathe. The first two were over 5/8” wide and had to be returned. This one is 9/26” wide, and while it is a little narrower than I would have liked, it does work.

I purchased this for the Carrier APU on my truck. I had one go bad and Carrier wanted nearly $80 for the belt. These are adjustable. What’s good about them is if a link breaks, this is 5 feet of links to either replace broken/worn ones or replace the entire belt at half the cost of the dealer. Used this on my 12x36 lathe. No spindle or gear box disassemble necessary with a link belt. Runs quiet.

I have been using these belts for many years in both fractional HP and Heavy multiple HP installations in a marine environment. I also use them on table saws and lathe drives. They take all the vibration out between the motor and the saw blade.With all belt driven machinery the belts stretch with use. It is a very simple fix to just shorten the belt a link at a time when this happens. They are a simply superior to regular "V" belts.

We used this so we didn’t have to remove a 6’ shaft and 6 bearings in order to change the belt. Pay attention to the rotation in order to assemble the belt correctly.
