Holy Dreadlocks!
I was rather skeptical when I first bought this, but when I took it out and tried it, I was amazed at how well it works. I have 5 indoor cats, one of which has long, very fine fur that sticks to everything. I have several cat trees that are covered with carpet material and a couple of loveseats that are covered in micro suede. It worked well on all of them. You do have to add a degree of elbow grease, but it's still easier and less expensive than lint rollers. You have to use a side to side back and forth motion and, like the instructions say, with the brush lightly dampened. That resulted in little rolls of fur forming on the brush that were easily pulled off and put in the trash. When I got to the room with the long haired cat, a somewhat different result happened. The fur formed the cutest little grey dreadlocks ever! With the amount of fur on the cat trees in here was bordering on felt so it took several brushings to get it all off. I did find that depending on the nap of the material, you may have to try brushing in several different directions to find which one works best. One of my cat trees has faux mink that has material that lays in opposing directions in strips so it's a bit of a challenge to find the right direction for it. The only drawback I found was that the bristles do not come very close to the end of the bush so getting into tight places is difficult, but it's not enough of a problem for me to deduct a star. Many brushes have bristles that are long enough for fur to get tangled in them. That is not the case with this brush. It's definitely the best thing I've found for removing cat or human hair from furniture.

Essential for any dog/cat owner!
This brush makes getting fur off my couch and bed sheets so easy! I'm glad I got this instead of the OXO velvet lint roller. Unlike velvet lint rollers, this brush is most effective when used in a back-and-forth motion. With a back-and-forth motion, the fur gathers up in the middle of the brush between its two rows of bristles, and that makes it easy to remove the fur from the brush. I'd only use this on upholstery and not clothing as I feel like this brush would be too rough on my thinner fabrics. For clothing, I use the OXO mini lint roller (I think the mini lilly brush for clothing doesn't do as good of a job as the OXO mini because the OXO mini seems to cover more surface area)

Works on several cloth surfaces to remove pet hair
This removes dog hair from my couch, clothes, blankets, and smooth surfaces. It has short and softer type bristles from which are it is not difficult to remove hair. The handle is comfortable to use while aggressively stroking the brush on courser materials to remove hair. The brush works better than a vacuum alone on same surfaces, aside from smooth surfaces. It’s small enough to keep in a shallow drawer. It doesn’t pick up every hair, so a roller may be needed to augment this brush on clothing, but it can get the greater amount of hair without using a lot of roller sheets.

Lack luster
It does what it says it does for sure. But... it doesn't exactly get everything. Not to mention the hair it gets takes awhile to pull out, and while you're cleaning whatever surface you're cleaning, you have to remove the hair from the brush very frequently. If there's hair left in it, it will fall out and spread. So I remembered I have a rubber layered oven mit. I used that on my couch and compared. The oven mit got literally everything and doesn't have bristles, so easy to clean. Not to say this brush is bad though. It's good for other surfaces and a good handy tool to have. But, it's still pretty lack luster compared to a rubber mit of some sort. Plus they're so much cheaper than this. All in all, i was pretty disappointed in this, but it helped me realize how good rubber mits work for getting pet hair off of surfaces. Another thing to note, this brush tends to create piles on cloth surfaces. You know, those super annoying lint balls that form after wearing and washing new pairs of clothing or, in this case, a new couch. Good thing i have a tool to get rid of that stuff. So like I said, you're better off getting a rubber mit.

Really pleased!
I've tried a lot of pet hair removers, and this is one of the best. Initially, I thought this would be of the"rubber bristles" variety, but it's just very short rows of plastic bristles. I found the rubber bristle brooms did a good job picking up surface hair left by my very shed-y cat, but they were too flexible to get at the deeper hair embedded in my carpet. This one agitates the fibers really well and picks up hair that I couldn't see. Of the five or so types of hair-removal devices I've tried, this is by far the best I've used on textured surfaces. I enthusiastically recommend it! (For smooth surfaces like my microfiber couch or clothes, I still prefer an old-fashioned lint remover. Also the worst one I tried was a pumice-like glass stone that couldn't be used on most surfaces.)

Don't Buy.
This brush does not work. I have two cats that shed lightly. Their fur is completely average (not course or heavy, not light and downy). I can not get this brush to pick up more than 25% of the cat hair from cotton, denim, linen, etc. I didn't even bother trying to use it on a wool sweater. The hair was not "embedded" or "engrained", just laying flat on the surface. I rub this brush over it about 30 times and there the majority of it still is all over me. The stuff that does come off onto the brush (I'm assuming just from all the static from my vain attempts) does not clump or gather... you almost need another brush to clean your brush. I'm pretty sure I'm not using this the wrong way (It's a brush, right?). To compare it to the standard sticky rollers on the market, this is half as effective and takes twice as long.Very disappointed and returning this right away. If you really want one of these go find it in a store and try it for yourself. To end on a happy note, I do like the way it feels in the hand and love the design. I think Lilly's branding is great. Now they just have to start working on performance.
