Relaxing and Restorative
This is an easy-going, relaxing game with a deep meaning and heartfelt moments throughout. Surprisingly thorough, and many things to collect, build, or discover. Beautiful soundtrack, and worth playing simply to experience the relationships throughout the game.

Only in the first 8th of the game and already fell in love.
I have only owned this game since early December and have fallen in love with the atmosphere, art style, and character design of this game. The premise reminds me of The Wind Waker with an indie style. If you are a fan of games that present philosophical ideas with a cast of diverse characters full of personality this game is for you. -Reviewer's child.

Addicting and pulls at the heartstrings
I absolutely love this game. It is pretty much a mix of micromanaging farming sim and narrative adventure. In 3 days I put in 80 plus hours and hadn't got to the end yet which I will explain near the end of this review. First I want to separate the pros and cons. The pros:1. I love the exploration and farming aspect of this game. The items you find throughout the adventure are used to create food and buildings for the spirits that travel with you on your boat. It gets pretty addicting, especially when going for 100% completion on certain task.2. The spirits. The highlight of this game undoubtingly. I was not expecting to get so emotional when it came to alot of them. Quite a few of them, the game will make clear were not particularly good people when alive, but you still end up attached to many of them, and to avoid spoilers, let me just say they make the game's overall theme of letting go hit so much harder.3. Flavortext. Throughout the game, you meet many other NPCs that are actually very entertaining to talk to. I never grew bored talking to random npcs. One of my favorite exchanges had to be this one side missions involving a merchant selling lemons. Another favorite is this shark merchant who fixes up your boat for you (let's just say he loves dad jokes).4. Music and art. The music is fantastic and complements the beautiful arts type. This game's art is absolutely gorgeous down to the character designs. One of my favorite pieces of music being the music that played during certain minigames like the comet shower or Jellyfish popping minigames. Now for the cons:1. I'm not sure about any other platform, but the ps4 version of this game can be very unstable. It crashes everytime I play it for a long period of time on loading screens (probably within an hour or 2 of play). Luckily the game autosaves at every loading screen, so I never really lost progress. It got annoying pretty fast though, but didn't ruin anything for me.2. Glitches. I've heard and seen people run into some pretty wild glitches, but I've only really had 3. 2 of them were minor, involving a character going invisible with their dialogue box popping up (was fixed after leaving the screen) and another falling off the boat, off the screen (was hilarious). But the nastiest glitch I got was exploring a mine. I made it to the end and the went outside the door, but the screen stayed in the mine, so I couldn't see where I was. It was by blind luck, I was able to move around and spam square until I exited back onto my ship without resorting to a restart. Oddly enough I never got the glitch again on repeat visits and still don't know what triggered it.3. Pacing. The pacing for a 3rd of the game is excellent, but near end game it drops a bit. Some of the spirits you get (a small bird spirit named Beverly in particular) feel like they come and go so quickly that you don't get as much connection to them as you would previous spirits. I often stumbled by many by accident.I didn't even have her buildings maxed out before she was gone and the office building you build for her barely has any use besides taking up room. I felt like it could have had more utilization than what was given. Same with one of the last spirits, a dog, (who many people seem split on) who was gone pretty quickly for me. Also finding out how to get to new locations can feel obtuse at times due to certain dialogue and story segments not being activated yet. I found many such as Stanly, a spirit you get late game who unlocks a new material to be used, completely by accident.4 Adding to the pacing issues, a minor complaint I have is that at some point the food you cook and items you collect become somewhat pointless to have unless you just want achievements. Theres not much else to do with extra foodThere's more I can go into, but I want to avoid spoilers. I actually haven't finished the game completely because there's another update coming that is supposed to add about 3 new Spirits and I can't wait. Despite some flaws, this game is undoubtingly up there with Psychonauts 2 in my GOTY list and it severest all the praise it gets.

Lovely calm game
This game is lovely, but a bit different than I’m used to. Also goes through death stages, so be warned. The music is great and it’s a very “farming” game. Super fun though!
