⚡ Ignite Your Curiosity with a Shocking DIY Experience!
The Mini DC Induction Jacobs Ladder is an engaging DIY experimental kit designed for students and science enthusiasts. It features a ZVS high voltage power supply and requires assembly, allowing users to explore the principles of electricity and physics hands-on. Note that a separate power supply of at least 24V and 150W is necessary for operation.

It’s a kit! But easy to figure out.
I was a little worried because of some of the reviews for this item. And it’s true, it has to be assembled, and you’ll have to use the directions here on Amazon – no directions come with the device. And it’s also true that you must find the power source. I got one here on Amazon for $30. It’s also true that the two antenna looking things that carry the bolt of electricity are included in the kit, but as a single piece of insulated copper wire. To use it, you must cut it in half, remove all the insulation with wire strippers, Straighten the wire (I used my Bench vice and was able to get it fairly straight) And then bend it into the correct shapes. So it takes some doing, but I was quite happy with the result – it worked great!

Subtract one star for actual rating
I’d love to be more positive, you know, say I got a charge out of it but it simply doesn’t work. That’s a big minus. It buzzes like my phone on vibrate which, you know, is pretty underwhelming. Another thing that was odd was the number of screws. 7. Depending on the configuration and number of screw holes thats either 3 too many or one two few. Nuttier still is the included nut which fits nothing. Idk. Did not meet expectations- and they were low expectations.I’ll keep fiddling with it on the assumption that I’ll either get it working or get electrocuted trying. The lack of directions and no safety warnings of any kind are a perk I suppose. I don’t think anyone will be shocked by this review- but I might be trying to get it operational.I’m sure it is my fault. My suggestion is that unless you have an electrician certification or similar, complete with voltmeters etc, and the knowledge of how to troubleshoot *why* it doesn’t work when you assemble it just like the pictures, bypass on the item.

Discharge wires before touching
The media could not be loaded. This is the best jacobs ladder I have seen!Does take a little tech know how, at least mine didn't come with instructions.Very nice arcs! It would be easier to put together if it came with bare wire, but still worth the effort.

No instructions on how to assemble
This Kit was shipped with no instructions and not all of the parts were included to assemble. I am an electrical engineer and it too hours to figure out this Kit could not be assembled with the parts included. I bought this to demonstrate electricity for a Kindergarten class.

It works !
Finally got to make one and IT WORKS ! ! !Folk's need to be aware that you will need to provide a 12v - 24v power supply. It does not come with one.It also doesn't come with instructions . . . you'll need to come back to this page to see how to assemble it. It isn't difficult to put it together . . .

Works Great
Works great, Instructions on Amazon product page could be more detailed and it would be nice if the box had instructions in it. You need to supply a 24V 5Amp power supply and I opted to use larger wire for the ladder.

Works great! With educational learning curve!
Purchased this and assembled easily from the instruction images on the Amazon page. I bought this for the power source: ALITOVE DC 24V 15A 360W Power Supply Universal Regulated Switching Transformer Adapter LED Driver 110V/220V AC Input for LED Strip CCTV Radio. Only additional purchases necessary are 12g wire to connect power to the ladder and appliance cord/plug to get ac into the power supply. Still messing with it as I am getting a little smoke after a min of use from the high voltage unit. Will update the review once that’s sorted out. Would appreciate any pointers if folks have an idea why that would be happening.
