This silicone brush is heat resistant, and has a solid wooden handle. It feels comfortable to hold / use. It's just wide enough for basting grilled meat, or wiping fond from the side of a cooking pan, back into the cooking liquid (to add flavor to you cook. Fond is flavor!). The bristles are multi-layered, so the brush is very efficient. It holds sauce well, and allows you to get the job done, of saucing your grilled meat quickly. It also quickly removed fond from the side of a simmering pan quickly, adding the flavor back into your dish, with less effort. No more annoying animal hair, or nylon bristles, falling out of your basting brush, into your food, either! This brush is well worth the purchase! Le Creuset is a quality name you can trust. Just a great kitchen tool

Hold quite a lot of oil for basting and nice soft bristles are heat resistant. Like the fact that the head is removable for washing in dishwasher. Wooden handle is a nice length. (I might wax handle for longevity)
