A great start.
*Developing Coaching Skills: A Concise Introduction by Dietmar Sternad*Great introductory read to life coaching that can support the learner to the ACC level. The book is very well set up whereby each chapter has an intro dedicated to what will be learned, visual figures to reinforce and solidify the knowledge discussed, examples from everyday coaches in practice, practice exercises to break down aspects of the skills introduced, and comprehensive wrap up summaries.Generally, I loved the breakdown of frameworks and models that were introduced in the book. With that said, the book also was very clear to mention that the client should be at the center of any coaching interaction so the coach should not be fall into the trap of only asking certain questions whereby they are afraid to deviate from them.I also loved the integration of sample coaching questions. The author made sure not to just put lists of random questions but strategically shows the reader when or why many of them should be used. Very quick read for me and I am excited to use some of the material in my coaching practice.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars.

A great introduction to developing coaching skills!
As a business student, this is the type of textbook that you hope a professor assigns – concise, understandable, and readily applicable – not to mention, extremely affordable. The book will help both current and future managers to further develop their coaching skills and hold more effective coaching conversations, focusing on key principles that readers may easily apply in their day-to-day interactions with both peers and direct reports. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to enhance their knowledge of coaching theory, while learning to ask better questions, listen more carefully, and hold deeper conversations.

Good book for getting started
Easy to read and understand. It does not go very deep into any one area, but gives you enough to know the big picture and decide what areas you want to develop further.

Easy to follow coaching techniques.
This is definitely a nifty book to help you lose better questions in different types of coaching or supervising jobs in order to effectively lead your team and manage your people.
