Keeps my phone secure in portrait mode, I have not tried it in landscape mode for maps but I'm sure it would be secure in that position as well. The mount was easy to install and is easy to use, even with motorcycle gloves on. It adjusts to fit most phones and designed not to be complicated. I've used it on my motorcycle for over two years and I can't say anything bad about the quality, nothing has ever bent or broke on it in all this time.

This is a nice sturdy phone holder to mount on handle bars. Has shims to fit a wide range of bar diameters. Seems to hold a reasonably sized Samsung phone securely.

Worth every penny. Very well built. I'm using it on a bicycle which I mostly ride on rail trails. Unlike a different different phone mount I used prior, this one is very quiet and doesn't rattle when riding over small bumps in the road. I needed something inexpensive and fairly easy to install. This fit my motorcycle just fine. So glad it came with a rear view mirror mount as my bike has an auxiliary light switch on my handle bar and no room for anything else and I didn't want to move it either. The design is functional and the build is mostly plastic. But the amount of flexibility given the 2 mounting options and the way this can be adjusted should satisfy most. I know I am.
