Review for: Plano Field Box - Style Name: Large Camo Swirl Field Box With Lift Out TrayI found this to be a very study box that appears to have good water resistance. The plastic is strong, thick, and not brittle. One thing that is not so strong is the hinges for the lid over the small storage tray on top of the box. Don't try opening the box by this lid, it will come right off. But, it goes back on easily. Latch feels good and secure, handle is comfortable.I used this box to make a solar battery box. Had enough space for a Eco-Worthy 30AH battery, Eco-Worthy 12V 20A DC to DC and solar charger, meters and outlets, wifi temperature monitor, and plenty of space to spare for solar cable storage. The plastic is strong, easy to drill and cut with a saber saw.At first I did not like the little pop open storage on the top thinking it would take up needed internal space but it worked great to put a digital amp meter, cell phone charge ports with volt meter, and coaxial 5.5mm D.C. outlets. Plus I was able to make a cutout to allow the charger front panel to be viewed, all of which is covered in case of rain. "Cigarette lighter" outlets and charging port for connection to 12V truck electrical system are on the side of the box.

You will like the size and features of this Plano Field Box. I use mine strictly for the storage of ammunition and supplies. It has good capacity, a nice seal all the way around, a very secure latching system, and a nice storage section on top...so you don't have to open the lid to reach inside for any smaller items needed. The handle is quite thick for easier carrying and very sturdy. The entire box is very sturdy. It can also be used for fishing gear storage and transport to your favorite fishing hole. It would make a nice tool box too. No matter what your use, it is a great value and a great box. Yes, I would recommend this to a family member or a friend for sure!!

This is my 5th one of the tray version of this box I love them. 3 of them are for ammunition and the other 2 are Used for terminal tackle storage for saltwater fishing. The top storage is great for easy access to a couple small items. Highly recommend this box. Shipping was a little slow and delayed but I am still happy with the product.

Well built, lockable. Great for holding supplies. Width is perfect for many types .30 cal ammo boxes or .22 bricks.

I bought one of these to replace the fabric bag I was using to store miscellaneous items in my trike's rear basket. The bag wasn't waterproof enough. This was taller than the fabric bag, but narrower, and it held less - so I ordered a second field box. The top tray is nice for smaller items and the little flip-top compartment for more small items that you want easy access to if you lock your box.Two of these fit nicely in my trike basket, with a little room to spare. I locked these box's lids with a luggage lock each and to the trike frame with a cable through the handles.I also put a silver backpack cover over the basket, secured with a cargo net, to keep things looking neat and to hopefully keep the basket contents cooler in the sun.One box contains a first aid kit, rain poncho, extra Velcro ties, zip ties, bungee cords, and cables, as well as emergency snack bars and a few other items. The second box contains a fanny pack stuffed with all sorts of items you'd want if stuck in the backwoods overnight. I ride my trike on Colorado back roads and like to be prepared. And in case of a zombie apocalypse. ;-)
