I've been using this flashlight for over a year and it has not let me down Despite being dropped on concrete from 8 feet a few times.The adjustable light cone is great when trying to find addresses at night to deliver.It is extremely bright on the high setting and two quick presses of the thumb button and you get a nice lower power light if you don't need that much light.

Awesome, solid product that functions as described. We are buying a second flashlight for family after owning the original for over 3 years. They have a long lasting battery and are very easy to charge. The size is just right to carry but still east to find if the flashlight gets laid down somewhere. The adjustable beam is easy yo adjust and has come in very handy

This is a great little flashlight. Exceptionally bright, easy to charge and very well made. It comes with an insert for use with regular batteries but the rechargeables are so good, I would save that for an emergency. I have never been disappointed with Coast flashlights.

This is an awesome flashlight, extremely bright. Kinda big to carry on my belt, but it can be done (I take it everywhere).Just a couple of minor beefs:1. It always powers on at full brightness, which I rarely need. So every time I use it I have to pulse it down to the lowest setting. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice if the circuit remembered the last brightness setting and powered up at that setting.2. There's a zoom "lock" which isn't a lock at all - just adds some friction, which is easily overcome when pulling the light out of its case. Because of that the zoom lock feature really adds no value, though it doesn't detract from the utility of the flashlight.No other complaints, this is a fantastic flashlight, highly recommended.UpdateI've had this light for close to 2 years now, still going strong. I use it daily, charge it a couple of times a month (it's never run down). Still bright as ever, too bright actually, I always run it at reduced brightness. A bit large but fits OK on my belt.My only real complaint is with the sheath. It's made of cordura nylon and has held up pretty well, with the exception of the velcro closure which of course quickly died. Why they use velcro for this type of application is beyond me, it's guaranteed to fail within a year. Hmm, maybe I just answered my own question.... anyway.... a snap would be much better than velcro here - in fact I installed a snap (Home Depot sells do-it-yourself snap kits) and it's been fine since then.

I've had this light for 2 years now and it has become my favorite and most used light. I've only really used the rechargeable pack, but I store the battery insert with the flashlight in case it's ever needed. I like the Coast sliding bezel and the end cap button has been reliable. For years I was a Maglite fan, then transitioned to Stream Light, but this light has made me think about Coast a serious flashlight maker. I recently was looking for an LED headlamp and selected a dual power Coast model. I wouldn't hesitate to get this light for home or vehicle use.

I’m a mechanic and have normally used streamlight products but decided to give this one a try after loosing my old flashlight. I have to say I really like this light especially for the money. Light output is really good as well as battery life. I’ve dropped it on the ground and in a coolant jug several times and it’s working fine with little wear marks. Spare batteries are also really affordable compared to other brands. Great little light!

Because this one is *IT*. Unless you need a SAR flashlight, this one works extremely well for all uses. The flood beam is exactly what you want indoors and the long range beam is also perfect for most use cases. The size is great but my favorite part is the overall design and build quality which seem top notch. This is my first Coast light and I'm blown away by its performance and design. I also have a Streamlight HL5X SAR light that I love but I grab this first now since the SL is way too intense for indoor use at 3500 lumens, but with the Coast, I don't think I'll ever need another flash light. For those curious, the light comes with a rechargeable cell but includes a cradle for 4 AAAs if you want to use that instead.

I work as a security officer. The flashlight is small enough to fit comfortably in my belt holster and bright enough to use outdoors. Last night I used it on a search at night and in the rain. The focused beam illuminated the space between houses from my vehicle. Rechargeable.
