Never perform bad squats again!
I have been looking for this tool ever since college. We use this every squat day. I promise you will never go without this exceptional ergonomically designed workout aide. Ver comfy and fits all body types.

Very nice and inexpensive alternative to the name brand.
This is the least expensive I have seen this style product. Its not near and nicely made as the one I wanted to buy, but the price definitely makes up the difference for sure. I have no issues with it at all.

Pretty good, but still gets pain with squatting heavy weight.
My teen son uses this and he says “it helps keep the bar stable and protects my trap area, but it still slightly hurts”. I notice he has purple lines across his shoulders when he’s done, from where this is resting and pinching. He squats quite a lot of weight, so that might have something to do with it. There’s not much give to the material this is made from. Overall, he likes it.

Game Changer
Very comfortable, stays on the bar in between sets when using the right bar (squat set up, free weights) not perfect for Smith machine, bar too wide, snaps out but does stay when using it and is as comfortable as any other set up. Has become a must-have.

Does not stay on bar.
When I first saw this pad I thought it was a good idea and it would have a wider area to distribute the weight of the bar. After buying it and attempting to use it several times it just kept falling off of the bar and was a useless. Do not buy. It is a waste of money. Unfortunately I cannot get a refund because it is past the return period. But hopefully this review will keep others from wasting money on this device.

It does the job but it is not comfortable
If you’re like me and have used the stingray and thought it was awesome but kind of expensive you probably looked at this.I’ll start responctionality. It grips the bar just fine and cups your shoulders just like the stingray. So if you’re worried that it is not going to hold onto the bar just know that it works the same. The material is much stiffer and less ergonomically than the name brand. Mistakes in a bit which can get pretty painful but honestly it was worth it to save the money. Using this primarily for squats you’re not doing that for more than an hour at most with breaks in between. It’s still better than that bar crushing your vertebrae while you’re squatting. If you’re looking for something more comfortable spend the extra money if you’re on a budget and willing to put up with some discomfort for the same results check this out

Awesome product
I just started using the smith machine and the squat rack and let me tell you that thing hurts when you aren't used to it.. this helped me with proper placement and was very comfortable. My trainer of course tried it out before me to make sure it was a good product and he agrees it is a great assist with these exercises... BTW if you are new to the squat rack and are having a hard time with squats try sumo squats that is the best trick I learned so far

A game changer for this older squatter
Now in my mid 50s, my shoulder mobility isn't what it used to be, and that causes a problem for my squats. I thought of buying a specialty bar (e.g. safety squat bar, buffalo bar, cambered bar) to alleviate the problem, but decided to give this inexpensive pad a try. Well, it was a wise decision! I've been a low back squatter, but this attachment forces me to stay more upright, as in a high bar squat. The result is a greater quad (vs. glute and hamstring) activation during squats. What this pad essentially does is to create a stable "shelf" for the bar to rest while doing squats, even when one's arm placement is wide (thus alleviating shoulder mobility issues). No need to bring my arms in tight to create a "trap and rear delt shelf" for the bar to rest on during squats. With my arms wider, I focus on "bending the bar down" during squats to keep the bar stable on the shoulder/upper traps.Note that this pad is not for the purpose of eliminating "pain" or "discomfort" during barbell back squats, but rather to create a stable ergonomic shelf across one's upper traps for the bar to rest on. For that specific purpose, this product gets the job done at an inexpensive price point.
