Good & Not Good Things:
Good things: It smells luxurious. Imagine a young milliner wearing expensive suite, with expensive watch and a glass of wine in hands, smiling and looking at beautiful girl - the guest of honor! With a full moon and clam musicI This is how it smells. The bottle presentation is amazing. Not Good Things: It is not - I repeat, IT IS NOT 'Intensive Moisturizing' as it claims. It absorbs fast(I know most people like this), and I felt my skin tight afterwards. In short, if someone has even modest dry skin, this does not work for them. It might work for those who have normal skin or is for the gents for whom wearing or not wearing a moisturizer or aftershave lotion/balm does not make a difference. Conclusion: It is a very good and expensive smelling lotion, in a beautiful blue bottle. Go for it if you have normal skin, are welling to wear something good smelling that lasts for less than half hour and if you are not looking for something that really moisturizes your skin.

Worth the price
Absorbs quickly and doesn't feel greasy like the stuff you get from Walgreens etc. It's a bit pricey but my face is worth it!

Nice product
I got this for me dad. He said he likes it. It’s moisturizing & didn’t irritate him. He thought it smelled pleasant. Seems to be a positive product. lol wish I could give more details.

Makes my face feel amazing!
I don’t usually submit reviews right away, but I felt like I needed to in this case. I’ve only had this for a couple days, but I was so impressed by the way this product made my skin feel. It is quite literally the best aftershave I’ve ever tried.I was a bit skeptical at first. For one thing, the price is pretty high. My wife spends a lot of money on face creams and anti-aging products, but I do not. My mens’ shaving care lineup has been decidedly low budget for most of my life. I’ve mostly been a Brut and Skin Bracer guy, maybe splurging for an occasional bottle of Old Spice. There are a few developments that have changed my thinking in terms of skincare. The first is that I’m getting older and looking like it. I’m in my 50s and am definitely not getting any younger or better looking, so I figure I’d better start trying to take care of my skin now. (I know it would have been better to start 25 years ago, but sometimes you have to play the ball where it lies). Next was the pandemic. With all the hand washing and sanitizer and cleaning everything with bleach and alcohol, I started having problems with my skin drying out. I’d never had trouble with dry skin before, but I started to use more moisturizers and stay away from alcohol based hygiene products. And finally, my workplace started requiring beard nets for facial hair that has grown for more than 24 hours. This policy has resulted in me shaving every day. I had started shaving my whole face a couple of years ago when my salt and pepper goatee started turning to straight salt, but now I shave every day without fail. No 5 o’clock shadow for me. Using an alcohol-based aftershave daily would dry me up like the Mohave desert, so I’ve been using moisturizing aftershaves. So, in comes the Scott Hamish Blue Blended Lotion Essence (psst it’s really just a fancy way to say “aftershave”). The first thing I noticed was the weight. It’s heavy. The bottle says it’s 6.08 ounces, but it feels heftier than that. The bottle is glass. Everything screams high end from the box within a box package to the heavy duty glass bottle.I wasn’t sure what to expect from the actual product. According to the manufacturer’s blurb, it is “inspired by the moisturizing energy of Scottish Whiskey”. What the heck does that even mean? Nothing against fine Scottish Whiskey, but isn’t it dehydrating by its very nature? There is also a nice write up on the side of the box extolling the virtues of Scotland. According to Ancestry, I’m 30% Scottish, and blue is my favorite color, so I figured, why wouldn’t it be good?Upon trying it, I was duly impressed. I tried it after a fresh shave with a new blade. At first, I had some trouble getting any lotion to dispense. There was a foil seal on the top of the bottle, and I’d removed that. There is also a white plastic stopper. It is there to keep too much product from spilling out. It’s “Lotion Essence” not splash-on after all: After a little shaking and persuading, I finally got a few dollops on my hand. As it turns out, that little bit was all I needed. My face felt amazing - tightened and moisturized at the same time. The scent is pleasant and light. Masculine but not overpowering. My face still felt great the next morning. Like Scotland, I guess. As I said before, this is not the cheapest aftershave on the market. But sometimes you get what you pay for. You won’t find many men’s hygiene products with hyaluronic acid and anti-aging ingredients with the “moisturizing energy of Scottish Whiskey “. This is a big bottle, and you only need a few drops at a time, so it should last a long time. Sometimes it’s worth the extra money to splurge a bit and invest in a product that helps you take care of yourself in some way.

Smells great. Decent Moisturizer
The media could not be loaded. The glass bottle makes it look very nice. The moisturizing effect is pretty decent. The scent reminds me of a fragrance I had from Montblanc. If I use it to cover my whole body, I feel that the scent is a little bit too much. So I will use it as a highlight and use an unscented moisturizer for the rest of my body. It seems that it is a product made in Korea, given that half of the package is printed in Korean. The only thing I am thinking could be a flaw is that since it is in a glass bottle, I cannot really pour smoothly. It might work better if there is a pump.

Fantastic lotion, somewhat frustrating to get it out of the bottle
First off, this lotion is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Great scent, goes on smoothly, absorbs nicely, and moisturizes well. You also don't need to use much to get good coverage, which makes products like this more of a value than they seem if you're used to less expensive brands that require a whole bunch to be effective. At the current price (as I write this, given a 50% coupon on this page) of $23 for six ounces, it's right in line with the CeraVe facial lotion that I bought for years and still like. I actually like this lotion more, making it a better value for me.As for the bottle...classy, but annoying. It reminds me of growing up in the days where ketchup was only in glass bottles, and I'd try without success to get it out at restaurants. Yes, I now know more tricks to do it, but that was back in the pre-internet days. :D Trying to get the lotion out of the bottle, especially when it's a new bottle and full, was especially slow and frustrating to me. It's gotten a bit easier, but it's still slow going. That's not horrible because you don't actually want to use much of it, but it's still more difficult than it needed to be.So, five stars for the lotion, but four stars overall because of the effort required to get it out of the bottle.
