Still a great watch for the price
I bought this right before the watch 6 line was announced, but I think I'd still buy this over the new Watch 6 classic. I love the physical rotating bezel, its super satisfying and actually really useful. The Watch 6 line has some nice improvements like better sensors, bigger battery, and stronger glass, but honestly the sensors on this are plenty accurate for regular use unless you're like a professional athlete or doctor, the battery is fine for me, I charge it once every day or two just whenever I feel like taking it off, and with the bezel I think the screen is pretty safe, the bezel kind of protects it. Besides, how often do you drop a watch? It's literally strapped to your arm.The stock band is nice, but I think I'll replace it soon with something a little more comfortable for working out, the silicone gets a little slimy feeling once you start sweating a lot.The sleep tracking is good, but I think the newer ones have software that offer more sleep coaching type features, it'd be nice if they made that available on older models since it seems like its just a software thing, but its not that important.Overall, great value for a watch. I'm glad they brought the rotating bezel back for the 6 Classic, but the 6 is too expensive for me, maybe I'll upgrade when the price goes down someday, but the Classic 4 is plenty for me.

So Far - So Good - Like the Size - Still Getting Used To It
This review of the Samsung Galaxy watch classic style, version 4, is about my take on the smartwatch itself. I'm not sure that I'm a fan of the smartwatch over an analog dumb watch but, I'm giving it a shot. I like that you get notifications from your phone and things like messages, e-mail messages, phone calls, etc. Because i tend to leave my phone somewhere in the house as i move around on a daily basis. When I'm working, they kind of go hand in hand so I would probably find the phone call or message at about the same time anyway. The watch does have a very nice appearance and I especially like the fact that the face and this version is large. That's what I was looking for when I opted for the older version four rather than the newer version 5.The buttons are easy to get to and the bezel is easy to use for navigation. There are many options that I will need to work with in order to develop the habit of wanting to use this device rather than the phone but, so far it's not proved to be a hassle. The voice reception to both speak and listen, and they watch while making a phone call, seems to be OK at best it doesn't seem great, but it does get the job done. I've had a few complaints from those on the other end of the line stating that my message became garbled or indiscernible, but in the end it did seem to work out OK.

Very nice!
I've always preferred a chunky sports watch but this machine is so much more. I've never used NFC because it's a pain in the backside. It's a couple of taps on the watch now.The watch has a ton of apps and you can add more if you need them. I think it counts steps a lot more accurately than my Garmin. It also has a pile of available watch faces it only takes a few taps to change out and customize.I really like this watch a lot better than any I've ever had, including my Garmin to which I'm still attached.Update: this watch shares one annoying habit with my Garmin. If you're pushing a lawn mower or a grocery buggy, it doesn't count steps at all. If you want full credit, you have to push one-handed and the the watch arm swing freely. It's a picky thing, I realize but I'm old enough for every step to mean something (lol)

Great Watch, Poor Battery
Pros:+Working bezel sets this apart from other smart watches+Super customizable with 3rd party bands and watch faces, app locations, etc.+WearOS gives you access to so many apps including Habitica, Roku remote, google apps, etc.+All health essentials through Samsung health+Works great with any android, so long as you download the Samsung apps.+Bluetooth earbud pairing with downloaded music playlists and podcast make this a gym rat's treasure+The price in 2024 can't be beat for this quality. You can buy the newer models for 3x as much and avoid the 2 negatives, but this one in my opinion does so much already and looks way more classy.Cons-Bezel gets scratch up easily because it protrudes but this is true of any bezeled watchSidenote: Get a screen protector. This is a no brainer but even with the bezel you will need one.-Battery lasts 24hrs if you are using the watch moderately. On my first day constantly playing with it and seeing what it could do the battery drained fast, maybe lasted 4-8hrs but once I got used to it and integrated it into everyday life, it lasts 24hrs. If you can fit in an hour of charge a day you can stretch it to a few days before needing a longer charge. For those who have an inconsistent schedule, you will want a different watch. It will die on you and you will be leaving it at home to charge every other day unless you can fit in that hour of charge. Half my job is book work so I can charge it while at my desk so consider if this is right for your lifestyle. Also, you will want the screen brightness around 45% for that balance of visibility and battery life. I do keep my watch face on because I want my watch to look like a watch and not a dead circle on my wrist when out in public and it still lasts me around 24hrs.
