Loved this book - beautiful, engaging, and fun.
We LOVED this book! I read it over the summer to my 5 and 7 year old daughters and they just gobbled it up! Asked to read it again actually! It’s one of the books I can foresee remaining in our library and being passed down and read to my grandkids one day- my girls loved the illustrations, the descriptions of each of the gods/goddesses and the stories. I do wish they put the pronunciations of the gods names at the beginning of the book- I struggled sometimes with how to say them and didn’t know they were there till I’d finished - but we even read that out loud! These stories were fun and interesting to read because you realize they are relatable to words, definitions, morals, fables, etc... of the modern world and without meaning to became teaching moments. My girls love when I read to them and I enjoyed this book too! I also love that the stories are generally only 2 pages (meaning left and right sides) so it’s easy to read 1 or 2 a night without keeping kids up too late! Get this book! I wish the author/illustrator had a version of the Iliad and the oddessey for kids too! I’d buy it in a heartbeat

Great Introduction to Greek Mythology
Beautifully illustrated and well organized. Author has presented a simplified version of the classic Greek Myths which will make the more compete stories more accessible. Many of the underlying themes remain along with language. I would recommend reading this with your child to help tackle difficult words and explain some of the more violent historical elements. Our five year old really enjoyed the stories and we had many deep discussions about how people used to interpret the world through story telling prior to modern scientific methodology, much as the way people use religion now. Great book, great series. Highly recommend.

Great introduction.
We really enjoyed this book. We used it along with a few others for a homeschool Greek Myths study. This was by far my kids favorite book out of the ones we used.

Great book!
I bought this book for my seven year old grandson and he loved it! There is plenty of information for the older student, but there are also stories that hold everyone's attention! Aside from the content, it is a beautiful book, hard cover with sturdy pages. It is a great book to pick up and read anytime, a fact book for many of the gods and a story book!

Outstanding book on Greek mythology
My 7-year old granddaughter has been studying Greek mythology in school, so I chose this book to give her for Christmas. Not only does she love it, and wanted to read it immediately, but I consider it extremely well organized, which is no small feat for a subject that presents so many characters, in both their Greek and Roman names. The illustrations are very attractive, also. Perhaps the best book on mythology for children from 6 - 13 years of age.

Highly recommend this book! Good for younger children.
Illustrations are wonderful. This one I would say is a great introduction to Greek Mythological characters and some of the stories in brief. Easy to read and understand, GREAT for little children. We have many Greek Mythology books and when I am reading these others to my son, he pulls this one always off the shelf to look at. It came with a small poster that we hung up in our school room. FABULOUS BOOK and I highly recommend it!

Kids loved it!
My 9 yo and 7 yo boys loved. It was great how the stories connected and really immersed them in the world of the gods. Each story is only a few months ages so they were perfect for bedtime and kept their attention

Perfect introduction for kids!
My just-turned-eight year old daughter loves it, it's a great overview and comes with some cute tattoos of major characters. The illustrations are well done and there is a pronunciation guide in the back for all those of us who stumble over the names. It's really gotten her interested in the topic, and about how ancient greek names are the root words for a lot of other things in the English language today.
