Dead Batteries? Will your Golf Cart Charger not turn on? THIS May HELP!
Did you allow your golf cart batteries charge to get to low and now your regular charger will not turn on?Well this is is the product you need to fix that!I failed to leave my Club Car charger connected like normal over this last winter so dead batteries this Spring! Nope the Club car charger would not even turn on! So what to do? Buy THIS 8V Charger! My 2012 Club Car would not charge so I started researching option. I had no idea how few 8 volt chargers are on the market but found this product and decided to take a chance. After finding this product and charging my batteries up to 1/2 way , one at the time, I am happy to report my Club Car Charger will now turn on and continue to charge like it always did! Happy Day!Perfect FIX for my " I hope I don't have to buy new batteries" situation! What I did ... I made sure each battery was at proper level with distilled water, Important, Remove the cables from the existing batteries, connect this charger to each battery one at the time. The instructions suggest when trying to restore a dead battery connect the battery, choose the FAST option and in my case set the volt to 8 volt. it did take some time, in my case about 2-3 days per battery, this device will show you 25% 50% 100% charge, I'm not sure if 25% is enough for the normal charger to work and that may be faster but I attempted to charge my batteries each to 50% but a few did charge to 100% as it goes 50% to 100% quick! At 100% the charger stopped charging so no worry of over charging. So it took better part of a week to fix my batteries, about 2-3 days per battery. The instructions suggest this charger repairs your battery but I'm assuming it may have done that to mine? It also offers a smart slow charge option and the instructions suggest that the "normal setting" but in my case with dead batteries I used fast charge and it still took time!Yes the cables from the charger to the battery clip is short but not a deal breaker as being short allows thinner DC cables so thats okay with me.The product will show the Voltage setting, charge % and the voltage and amps the charger is charging at and that changes with how much or how little the battery is charged. NOTE: You do need to choose voltage and fast option every time you connect a battery .Has a fan in the rear that turns itself on and off when needed. For the money spent I am so very happy with this product! As the owner of a Golf Cart, Motorcycles and lawn mowers, Diesel trucks etc, Having a smart charger that offers a 6v,8v, 12v, 14, 16v and 24 volt charge options and suggest it can repair batteries is a welcome low cost tool to add to my garage that will come in handy!I did what I purchased it to do, it charged my dead golf cart batteries uo so my normal Club Car charger would once again start and charge my batteries!

Easy, effective, and inexpensive
Fantastic little charger, saved my scissor lift batteries. Its basic, does what it says, and its inexpensive; not much more you can ask for.Instructions are silly, not actually instructions at all, but its a silly easy to figure out tool too.1) Set the voltage before you connect the battery; it only auto-senses 12 and 24v, and resets every time you disconnect the battery. So just set the voltage before connecting, it's easy and good practice with any tool.2) Press and hold the left button a few seconds to switch charging modes (fast vs auto)That's it, works great, A+ product.

It works alright, but instructions are so so.
It gets a 4 because I had to stumble into the proper way to get it fully powered due to the poor organization of the instruction manual and lack of clarity in verbiage. The main power switch is on the back. Okay, fine. The screen lights up. However, the tricky part is the fast charge/intelligence button which must be HELD in for a couple of seconds to activate the charging modes. Pressing it quickly merely switches between the two modes, but it doesn't activate them. I'm older, from the generation when a momentary push turned anything on or off. Everything these days has to be held in for at least a couple of seconds to get any action. Anyway, the charger works, so for the money you can't be too picky

Helped me revive some drained 8V batteries
My 8V golf cart batteries accidentally got drained over last winter, and neither the club car charger nor my normal battery tender would charge them, because they seemed dead. So I got this and put it on 12V (or higher) for a while, which seemed to force the battery to be able to take a normal 8V charge. This process worked on all 6 of the batteries, and now things seem fine. I'm sure the batteries' capacities are not what they used to be, but at least I can go a couple more years with them hopefully.

So cheap, so easy, so great!
Manual states it’s not for dead batteries … well it sure worked perfectly on all 6 of my dead golf cart batteries. Easy, quick and accurate. Highly recommend.

Saved my golf cart batteries.
I almost never leave reviews, but this inexpensive charger just saved me $1,000. I ignored my golf cart for at least 6 months. Went to charge it and the 48v charger wouldn’t turn on because my batteries were so low. Tested the batteries and they were between 2-3 volts each. I only had a 6v/12v charger, so I attempted to charge them all to 6 volts and hope at that point the 48v charger would turn on. For whatever reason, they would charge to 6 volts and within an hour would be at 5v, then 4v the next day. I was about to give up and buy new batteries but tried this 8v charger as a last resort. I did one battery a day. They charged to over 8 volts and held there until I had all 6 batteries charged. I can now get a full charge using my 48v charger. Couldn’t be happier.
