The radical book for kids a Christian book
This is an awesome book My grandchildren have one and I wanted to see what was so special about it. It’s great for kids to understand what goes on in the Bible …and Bible studies. I think it’s worth a five star💫

I can’t put it down!
I am always on the lookout for reading materials that will help my kids (6, 8, 10) grow in their faith and strengthen their roots, and am very selective about what I choose. We worked our way through several storybook bibles as they were younger (my very favorite beyond the toddler stages is “The Gospel Story Bible” by Marty Machowski—it has SO many stories from the Old Testament and has given them a good overview, always pointing towards Christ), and have gone through MANY devotionals over the years (currently working through “Long Story Short,” also by Machowski—love it so much that we’ll do his “Old Story New” next). My kids have come to expect a new devotional for Christmas, but since we are set on devotional material for awhile, they didn’t get one this year and my youngest was disappointed. I am thrilled that they are hungry for reading materials that foster spiritual growth, so I set out to find a fun, purposeful, educational book to leave out for them to pick up at will for silent reading time, while waiting for dinner, etc. This book meets and exceeds my expectations; it came yesterday, and I can hardly put it down!! It is sturdy, well-formatted, interesting, and jam-packed with information and encouragement from such a wide variety of topics (the construction and reliability of the Bible, living out the Christian life, familiar and fun phrases in Latin, knot-tying, jewels of the Bible, making your own sling, men & women who gave their lives for Christ, why manners matter, Biblical feasts and offerings, etc.). So, if you are all set on devotional material but looking for supplemental book, I highly recommend it!

A gem
My favorite kids book at the moment. I love the diversity of topics. It hits on a lot of questions my kid asks. It covers so many key facts while bringing it back to a heart/soul/gospel level as well. So good.

Well I'm happy to see that someone finally wrote that book
The Radical Book for Kids is different than any other children's book out there today. I have children of my own and have taught children in my church for almost 20 years. I am very familiar with what is out there today. For years I have wished that someone would write a book that tells me EVERYTHING about God and the life he gave us. Not just the stories of Noah and Jonah (although this book has them). I wanted a book that goes deep into the context of the Bible and this world. A book that helps you understand your life and the life of those the Bible was written to. Well I'm happy to see that someone finally wrote that book. This something that our church needs. A book that shares the Gospel and surrounds it with lots of background that a child will eat up. Having said that, this book is more than just a children's book. It will be a timeless resource for any age.I also appreciate the format of the book. Each chapter is about 2-5 pages. Wisdom can be found in the pages whether you have 5 minutes or the afternoon.

Amazing book
Purchased this after reading other reviews in hopes of learning more about the Bible and the life of Jesus. My 11 year of has been fascinated by much of the books content. I’m 40 and have thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Packed with lots of information and random notes about things you never knew.

So awesome my kids are fighting over it
Carnal as we are, while flipping through the book with my two youngest, our eyes first fell on the elephant jokes and the instructions on how to say things like "Don't have a cow, man" in Latin. As my kids started roaring with laughter, I realized two things: (1) this author is a dad, knows dads and kids, and can tell bad dad jokes with the best of them; and (2) my kids have been well trained in acquiring an appreciation for dad jokes, something like the French loving their Camembert cheese. Of course we flipped through more and found health for our souls. This book communicates with kids in a theologically deep and sound way without talking over them or down to them. And the artwork and design is awesome. When we finished, my kids argued over who got to take the book with them to read in bed. Now how often do your kids do that?
