NAKEDVegan Sample Pack Pea, Chocolate Pea, and Vanilla Pea

I'm So Elated They Have Samples!
Five starts automatically just for the product - I LOVE samples. You get a very reasonable amount of powder in each packet. Considering just a jar of this stuff is closer $20, and you get to try all three of their products from this series, I thought the price was quite reasonable.Vanilla flavor was good! Chocolate was quite strange to me and tasted more nutty. I prefer intense chocolate flavors so I don't think that one is for me. Be aware that THIS IS NOT INSTANT SHAKE POWDER. You can use it as a shake, but it's not optimal, and you'll need to add something extra to make it work. I blended the vanilla with vanilla oat milk and thought it was pretty good, but it was pretty gritty. If texture is something you can't get past, you'll need to blend this up in a smoothie or with some kind of nut-based fat.Overall, I think this is a quality product. So many protein powder companies don't have samples of their product, making it difficult to find the powder that's right for you - so if you're on the fence, I'd go ahead and buy it.

Horrible taste
Did not like the taste at all, I tried mixing it with different ingredients to tolerate the taste, but was not able to drink it. It also had a strong smell and I feel it did not mix well. I ended up discarding the product as no one else in my household liked it.

Not too bad but not great either!
I’m glad I got the sample pack before purchasing a larger size. The taste is not too bad considering it’s pea protein, however, I did mix it with frozen banana and almond milk, but I don’t like it enough to buy again.

Good dairy-free protein shake option
I have a strong preference for plain, unflavored protein powder without any additives, which is why I decided to try this brand. These are the only vegetarian protein powders I've tried.I'm replacing the plain, unflavored whey that I've been using because it seems to be causing me some issues, so I used the Naked Rice and Naked Pea in the same way that I've used the whey, in a cold coffee drink. And, yeah, like other reviews mention, these are grainy. I always mix protein powders with 3 cups of coffee drink, and even with that much liquid, they're still grainy. Both the rice and the pea have a rather strong, not particularly pleasant, flavor, though the coffee drink masked it well enough. And after a couple of days of drinking the samples, I've grown used to the flavor and don't find it unpleasant now.I mixed the Less Naked Vanilla in 10 oz of vanilla cashew milk. I really expected it to be way too grainy in such a small amount of liquid, but surprisingly, it seemed about the same. The flavor was really bland, though. I actually added a splash of sugar-free vanilla syrup to it, and while it wasn't the-best-protein-shake-ever, it was good. I also mixed the Less Naked Chocolate in 10 oz of vanilla cashew milk, and it was even more bland than the Less Naked Vanilla. I added a couple of scoops of sugar-free Nesquick to it, and that made it palatable. In the future, I will probably mix the Naked Rice and Naked Pea in a smaller amount of cashew milk next time while adding my own flavors--since I would have to do that anyway.I will be buying both Naked Pea and Naked Rice. From what I've read, the grainy texture and rather strong flavors are simply the price we pay for vegetarian protein powders, which is what I need. The flavor is not bad enough or strong enough to ruin my coffee drink, but I think cashew milk with flavors may be the way to go with these. As for the graininess, that will prevent me from drinking a protein shake while working out, but otherwise, I'm sure I'll get used to it, too.I think whey is a better option--both in flavor and smooth mixing--for people who don't have problems digesting it and people who don't have ethical issues with animal products. But since I don't seem to be in that group, I'm just glad I found a protein that I can handle.I do feel that this sample pack is WAY overpriced. C'mon, guys. It was worth it to not have to pay $50+ to try each flavor, but I still feel that the sample packs could be more reasonable.

If You're Unsure Try This Sample Pack!
Glad I tried these! I like the chocolate and the vanilla just fine. I mixed the unflavored with a teaspoon of cocoa and a teaspoon of coconut sugar. It was pretty tasty and the nutrient profile is excellent. I just purchased more vanilla.I know some complain about the taste but I just put it in a shaker bottlewith soy milk and it was pretty good. Better than tolerable - which isabout as high a recommendation as I'll give ANY protein powder! None of it tastes like candy. I may have a higher tolerance to stuff like this than most because of being vegan for a lot of years.

Gross taste
So gross! The ingredients are great but it tastes like dried bean dust. I really struggled to get it down.

Blends Perfectly With Smoothies
I love the plain flavor for blending with my smoothies, as I hate sweetened protein powders. The plain tastew fine all blended up, maybe a little gritty but nothing too noticeable. I don't like whey, so this is perfect for me.I tried the chocolate and vanilla on their own, with just some water, to compare to other flavored protein powders. It wasn't as sweet as others but still tasted kinda icky to me. Love that I was able to try them before ordering a big bottle. I'll be sticking with the plain.

Strong Chemical Taste
I was really hoping to enjoy the Naked Vegan Sample Pack, but I found the flavor to be extremely chemical and artificial. Out of all the pea protein brands I’ve tried, this one has been the worst. The chocolate and vanilla flavors were particularly unappealing, overshadowed by that off-putting taste. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this product if you're looking for a pleasant, natural flavor in your protein shakes.
