Lasted 7 months with a 2y.o.The gate is metal and should have lasted decades. But plastic fittings were not made to last.This product is a waste of time, resources and money..1. I spent time to fit it.2. Now I have to dispose of it.3 I need to buy another one and fit it again.4 It is made of metal and because of a cheap plastic part, 20kg of metal (think of mining, energy and someone's time needed to get that metal) the whole item is unusable. It is not even slightly green. There is no way to replace this plastic part on the metal gate.It also makes annoying loud noise every time it locks. OK at daytime but if the baby is asleep I have climb over the gate to keep the noise down.I don't like night climbing especially if I have to rush to the room with a tray in my hands.

The one I got before, when opened all the way it would stay open. This one closes automatically no matter what you do. Why is this different to the one before? Very frustrating at times when it needs to be kept open.

The locking feature in the gate didnt work from day one hence turned quite useless. However, the installation was quite straight forward. Updated review: used it by tightening the fastener and the lock works fine... however it's still not worthy of 5 star as my 3 year old was able to shake it loose and unhinged it from the wall

Very easy to install but the instructions supplied are pretty poor. It comes with screws which I assume it for people who wants to screw this into the wall however I believe this is optional as it can be used as a pressure fitted one which is what I wanted due to not wanting to leave holes in my wall. Took me a bit of time to actually fit it but that was basically down to my awkward stairs so has trouble fitting. Eventually found a way around it and now it’s up it seems very sturdy and very easy to use.

A little tricky to set up but, once you've sussed it and you're confident in what you're doing, it's easy to install and use. The gate has a very safe, self-locking mechanism which gives security and peace of mind.
