it measures accurately. locks in nicely and its brass so it should last a lifetime. i much prefer these over the synthetic clear ones but they all work the same just comes down to your presences and i like brass

Quality, nice shiny brass
Well made, although this is really made for rifles you can use it for pistols in a pinch, I just bought this one so I don't need to carry around two. I cut a slot in the box of my Pietta 1851 navy for it to fit in there nicely.The measure locks in place which is a nice feature so you don't have to readjust it every time you use it.I would recommend it for anyone who shoots black powder.
