it's really fantastic!
24 hours since I've bought this and it's really fantastic thus far. It's a very high quality item, precisely engineered and built to last. No leakage whatsoever on my bottle, and loving everything about it: the nice water taste, the solid construction, light weight, and the beautiful aesthetics.I got it on sale for about 40% off. Would it be worth the full price? Hmmm, probably not. It's a great water bottle but not worth the $140.00 price tag. Getting it under $100, well it's still expensive but I can live with that given that it's a very nice item. Definitely no regrets investing in it.

Outstanding quality and finish
Excellent design, fits backpack side pockets perfectly. The paracord loop holds the lid attached, making it safe to use on-the-move or in precarious locations. Easy to secure the bottle to the pack too, using the loop. Wide mouth makes it easy to use with a range of filters and water bladders, and easy to clean. The bottle is shaped from 2mm single walled titanium plate, very sturdy. Yet, mine comes in at 252 grams (rather than the 280 grams advertised). An absolute delight. Well done Vargo!

I just like titanium for everyday use
I am a titanium geek, I am not a camping person, I just like titanium for everyday use. I had the other Vargo titanium bottle with titanium lid, which I got rid of, because it was too thin and flimsy, the joint was welded poorly with overlapping sheet, this was way too annoying to clean the bottle when I put something other than water, things got caught at the joint, I gave up cleaning thoroughly, so as you can imagine the first thing I looked at when I bought this bottle, the quality of welding. The joints are not as smooth as Snow Peak bottles, but there is no overlapping part, I put my index finger inside the bottle to feel the joint, it is rounded enough to clean the bottle thoroughly. And if you want something solid, this bottle is SOLID. There is definitely some thickness there which I am super happy about. The cord, I think it is a dumb idea, the lid has quite some weight on it, because of the cord, it was banging against the bottle. made a small scratch as well. After checking the welding, the cord had to go. As the other user suggested, Vargo need to bring easier way to undo the cord, washing the bottle with the cord attached, too inconvenient. This is why I took 1 star off. There is a silicone ring inside the lid to stop leaking, it is fitted very well, I want to get it out time to time to clean the lid but at this stage I am not sure how to. I hope Vargo sells the part just in case if I damage it trying to get it out.The leaflet says pure titanium. I wonder what grade it is. Another reason I got rid of the other bottle is that it had some kind metallic smell and unfortunately this bottle has the smell too. I don't find many reviews mentioning the smell, but I can smell, something Snow Peak bottles don't have. And it is not only Vargo titanium products, I have several items I have stopped using because of the smell. The good thing is that the smell is not strong at the lip area, it doesn't bother me much when I am drinking out of the bottle, however this may change in the future when I use the bottle more with plain water. If anyone has any idea how to get rid of the smell, I am all ears. So, if you want a SOLID titanium bottle, and have never had any issue of metallic smell of titanium, also have two minutes spare undoing the cord, go for the bottle.

Light, strong and stays clean.
I bought two of these for a backcountry backpacking trips for 7 days through Wind River, Wyoming. These were great. They are light and stay clean. I also use them frequently for mixing super hot drinks. There are no plastics. It’s just titanium. I also think Vargo is an excellent company. I had a minor problem with one of the bottles. Vargo customer service promptly dealt with the issue and replaced the bottle. These are expensive but they are well worth it, IMO.

Don’t waste your money!
If you love your Vargo Ti bottle don’t ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER accidentally drop it on its top! It will bend and cave in the cap and the cap can get jammed. Also with the cap threads and bottle threads feeling a bit gritty you will find that the drinking surface will have a slight metallic taste and you will see gray Ti dust wipe off on a damp cloth when cleaning the threaded portion of the bottle and cap. For the money it’s not at all what I expected.

Worth it in my opinion.
Not an ultra light but is dang tough in comparison to my titanium 750 bottle.Have dropped and banged this para-bottle, no tough scars on it yet. The lid has some real heft to it. Make sure you hold the cord with your thumb as to hold the lid back from cracking you in the face.Yeah you can find a cheap ole bottle or even a double wall option, but if you have done your homework on titanium not leaching a metallic taste or have had the honor of drinking from a military canteen, you will appreciate the differenceGet yourself a Nalgene bottle adapted filter system and your set for any water source.

Titanium Para Bottle Severe Metal Taste, Quality Issue
Titanium Para Bottle worked great at first. After a couple weeks of regular use I have begun to taste metal in my mouth. After some investigation it appears material where the lid screws on has begun to file off. After a quick test of screwing on the lid and then unscrewing I can see metal dust when wiped off with a paper towel (or my finger). The metal taste is severe enough to feel it in my sinuses and it lasts for hours. I will now be researching side effects of ingesting titanium assuming the marketing literature is correct and there are no additional coatings.I was very excited for a daily water bottle that would not impart a metallic flavor and could be used over a fire in say an emergency hiking situation.Definitely does not meet expectations especially at this very high end price!
