Very handy, surprised me how much
I bought these to power a string of neopixels I was intending to experiment with but before I got to that I decided to use one for my pi4.I live off grid and made a 12v power supply for my pi4 and used that successfully for several years but I wanted to assemble it on a tower to reduce the footprint and the old supply didn’t fit in too well. That supply was also kind of awkward to use and I wasn’t in love with it.So I remembered I bought these and snagged one, screwed it down, wired a switch, a 12v plug and a USB-C male pigtail for the pi4 and voila, it’s clean and provides way more power than the pi is ever going to need.

Working good so far!
I purchased this to use with an open Auto Pro setup with a Raspberry pi 4. It is simultaneously powering the Raspberry pi via gpio, an M2 SATA SSD hat (also powered through gpio via pogo pins), and a Waveshare 8" touch screen via USBC pigtail from the output. I'm still getting everything together and haven't tested in the car yet. So the testing setup is currently using a 12DC 5A power supply (dc barrel type). Everything powers up correctly and works well and I'm not getting any low voltage warning on the Pi. When i first got it, I threw my USB voltage tester in line and I *did* get low voltage warnings (and actual low voltage readings on the tester), which seemed discouraging at first, but without the tester I had no issues at all. I've left it running for hours at a time without incident so I feel confident it will be perfect in the end. I'll update with my findings

Durable and reliable
These are great little DC/DC converters. I have one buried in the dash of my car powering some USB outlets I installed on the dash. Subjected to extreme heat, cold, dust and vibration, it has a very rough life and hasn't failed me. I just bought another to power the router and security camera in my shipping container shop. I am going to buy a third so I can use my 18v tool batteries as a usb power bank.

Good converter for price, no major complaints
I used this for two pairs of grow lights (4 total, 3.3A per pair) and it's worked well.It hasn't gotten hot, it's powered my lights fine since I bought it, the digital voltmeter has consistently indicated 5v.Its size is very convenient as I was able to find a spot to mount it on and once I prepped the junction box its installation was very straight forward. The only reason it's a 4/5 and not a 5/5 is anytime you receive something with holes for mounting it's always at least mildly disappointing to not receive any screws+nuts (mounting accessories, etc) with it.I didn't mind shelling out the extra $3-4 for my end result, but it'd definitely have been nice to have those included to save myself the trip to a hardware store.

perfect for my application
I used this to replace a point type regulator for dash gauges on an old car. Needed a reliable 5V dc supply. Seems to work well.

Awesome. Worked right out of the box
I needed to power a single board computer (Odroid XU4 / 5VA) from a 12V Bioenno battery. I tried a small PCB switcher which claimed 5A .. The Odroid wouldn't boot from it. With this product it works great.Another reviewer complained it wouldn't power his Pi which required 5.12V .. Not this product's fault. It is interesting though that his Pi works with the same board that my Odroid XU4 wouldn't. But the Pi only needs 3A and the Odroid needs at least 4A with spikes beyond that.

Works awesome, used on weboost
Needed to bring the voltage down for our Weboost so we can hard wire it in our bus.Works awesome
