Very good espresso!

Just as good as anything I`ve had in Italy.

Smooth, robust medium roast. It is as bold in flavor as can be without being a dark roast. The slightly reddish color, and the wee hint of tang keeps it at the medium roast level. As someone who prefers dark roasts, this is very good for medium roast. SO I would say this is a dark leaning medium. Like, butted up right against dark. Knockin' on the door.This is a brick of fine grind- very powder like. Perfect for espresso brewing, or pour overs. I haven't tried it in my regular brewer yet. I tend to go for my favorite B08SBSSSJC POUR OVER I drink my coffee black. Dark roasts never need anything, but lighter roasts usually need "help" through use of creamer, which can tone down bitter, grassy, green, bright notes. I find that this medium roast does not have any of those off putting notes, and I can drink this black just fine. As I drink it i feel the fog lift, and that makes me happy.

I always try to savor different expresso grains...this one is bold...but I still prefer Lavazza

For a medium roast, this is a bold, flavorful coffee. If I didn't see the label on the package, I would have guessed dark roast.The coffee comes vacuum packed into a brick to keep it fresh. Unfortunately, the bag is not resealable. The grind is very fine, fine enough for espresso, but still made a good cup of coffee in my Kureig. The best use by date is two years into the future.I drink coffee black, and this does not disappoint. It is smooth and flavorful with a pleasant aroma and no bitter aftertaste.

This Aiello coffee from Italy has a deep, rich flavor. Although Aiello says that it's a medium roast, it brews up much darker than an American medium, and has a decidedly fuller body. Especially for those of us who drink our coffee unsweetened and black, it delivers the kind of smooth but intense impact you'd expect from an Italian coffee. My only dislike is that the fine ground doesn't work well in a auto-drip maker or French press; it leaves sludge in the cup and can climb up a filter and into the brew. I like the convenient two pack that this coffee comes in. It is in brick form and very fresh. I was surprised that the medium roast had such a good coffee flavor. The grind is a fine powder and perfect for an espresso machine. There is nothing negative I can find to say about this coffee.
