THIS IS A GOOD STOVE!
Pleasantly surprised when I received this stove. I chose it because of the dual fuel capability. A lot of times the butane canisters are just not available on a trip. Also, they can't be shipped from Amazon into California. But I can always find regular propane cans just about ANYWHERE.The stove seems to be very good quality. So far, it's only taken one spark from the lighter ea. time to light it. Instructions are easy to follow. Flame is easy to regulate, right down to a simmer. I've had experience with big Coleman stoves right down to the little Butane only pocket stoves & I can see that a wind break will be nec. in a breeze. No sweat, just pile up anything handy to block the wind.Since I've just got it, I haven't cooked yet, but I've boiled up a couple of pots of camp coffee just to make sure it works. Both Butane and Propane produce a clean, steady, controllable flame. Boil time would depend on how high you adjust the flame.By fiddling around, I can get the propane adapter hose & regulator to fit inside the stove for packing. The instructions said something about putting the pot grate thing upside down for packing. I don't know, but I found the stove fits fine in the carry case (with hose inside stove),with the cover/ pan-grate just in the normal position.Just so you know, The stove won't fit in the carry case with a butane canister in place. You have to take it out.All parts & controls have a good, well made feel & appearance is one that says quality. I'm extremely happy with this stove & nobody promised me anything for a good review. I just want to let you know what I think.

Fantastic stove - quality and value! Long term review
The media could not be loaded. I used this for a summer of camping, and it has held up well. It's so satisfying to have a full stove, in a TINY footprint, at the camp site. Makes cooking cheap while camping. This is such a high quality machine: easy to clean, and very nice flame control that easily ramps down without going out. Very nice for simmering/ etc.But it's not as hot as other stoves, just 7,000 ish BTUs, so you will notice it's not as hot as your stove at home. It benefits from using the included case as a wind shield.I'd recommend this one-stove setup to anyone. It's so compact and low cost, and beautifully engineered, I love it.Note: it's possible to store the propane hose inside the stove, but it's a pain to tuck inside. Normally I just put the propane hose in my cooking box - I hope future designs include propane hose storage, and for this reason, the compact Butane fuel containers are more convenient, but wasteful. If you're on the fence between PROPANE and BUTATNE - GET BOTH. This is very handy to have. I would NOT recommend butane-only stoves because it's harder to find in all stores, more expensive, and the cans run out quickly becoming very wasteful. I went to home depot 5 times before they restocked Butane, it's always sold out. And they don't hold much energy; Butane cans run out in just an evening or two of boiling water. So I recommend propane which is much cheaper, creates less garbage, and more available at any store. Also butane straight up doesn't work when it's cold, but propane does.

Flame is Adjustable and It Works!
I bought this stove for several reasons, but the BIGGEST reason was I was damn tired of firing up a Coleman camp stove and the flame adjustments were HIGH and HIGHER. Gas One claims that their flame is very adjustable from simmer to boil. So I bought one recently for a trip into the Olympic Mountains (drive-in, not hike) for some camping. This stove works as advertised. And I mean everything. I tested it with both propane (adapter included with the stove) and a couple of butane cylinders I had lying around. The flame control is smooth as glass, and VERY adjustable. If you buy yourself a propane tank adapter, you can even hook it up to a 5-gallon propane tank and save money on those expensive green cylinders, too.The hard plastic case was a definite plus, and has a solid sliding lock on it. The spark starter fires up the stove every time. No more lighters or matches needed. Just like turning on the gas stove at your house. Turn...Click...Spark pops...You got cooking, baby.So what if it only has the single burner? You could just buy TWO of these stoves and they won't cost much more than buying a single Coleman stove, which are crap unless you want to spend close to a hundred bucks for their upgraded ones. And the Coleman stoves are heavy, anyway. This Gas One setup is very light, but well built out of stainless steel. Finally...someone comes along and puts out a camp stove that you can adjust the heat output as well as your gas stove at home. For around thirty bucks, you can't do any better in my humble opinion. I will NEVER buy a Coleman again, you can bet the farm on that. Thank you, Gas One. This review comes to you from a guy who has been car camping the National Forests of Washington State and the Pacific Northwest for over thirty years. I also run a car camping website, and this stove goes on our Recommended Gear list.
