Add ease to our outings
No more anchor wrestling! I was getting tired of messing with the anchor-- lifting it in and out anytime we changed a location. This addition put convenience back into boating. We had only 8 or so inches of open deck area in front of our pontoon fence, and this still worked for us. I could have fit it to an even smaller area. It fit where the MinnKota Deckhand40 would not. I used the optional Camco mounting plate accessory. See pic of me standing on the solid cantilever arm -- it's plenty stout. I did beef up the mounting using 1-1/2" stainless steel fender washers under the deck, but that cost less than $3.Our boat has under-deck aluminum splash guards which means I had to spend a couple hours routing the wiring, but the finished product is terrific.
