I bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it. She says it’s very simple and organized, it has a nice design, but also gives you the room to put your own flair to it, if you wanted to. It has a matte texture, and it’s also paperback. It was a little thinner than she expected, and a bit more purple than the picture depicts. Overall, she’s happy with the product.

AMAZING! I was expecting a lot less than what I got. I am so impressed and the price was ridiculously cheap! You could take the pages out and use them in your own BOS, or make this your recipe/spell/herbal book ~ or you could get more than one and have several different books. While the "learned" might not find this useful, a begginer would find it very helpful! Would definitely get another....might order a few for gifts too. You will not be sorry.BTW, I thought it only would have a few pages with information, but the whole book is full of blank spell pages (already formatted for you and very lovely - just add your own colors and artwork). So if you are looking for a book that is mostly a blank book you will be very disappointed.

I'd been looking at spell books when I got the urge to buy this one. I've spent days looking for my clarity potion and thought it would be nice to have a dedicated notebook. Somehow I forgot to check size so it's about twice the size I expected. Bonus! Nicely printed cover with a velvety feel. Each page is printed. Nice chart in back with commonly used symbols. Best for me, index pages. Probably best for newbies, which I am. Gives me a beginning structure until I find a style of my own. Great deal.

Nice front cover, it is mostly a beginner book with most of the pages acting as a spell repository, or maybe could use for herb/gem info, or anything you need to list. The back of the book has some useful info on Wiccan dates, which is helpful if you are just starting (it might have one or two other small tidbits that others might find useful). It also has an add your own "other" notes near the end. I would have preferred slightly more blank pages, so suppose if you need more room (for personal thoughts on matters), one might have to find a blank journal elsewhere, but since keeping track of spells and rituals can be lengthy this starter actually makes sense.The pages do look thin, but it does look like pen/or ink bleed-through might be lessened (though I haven't tested it out yet; I intend to fairly soon though, just have to get some info organized first). I'm hoping it holds up well at least a few years. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, while I know many have 'e-shadow books' which is great for learning, but if for myself I prefer my own 'hand', and I want something I can pass on to someone, should anyone be interested, or find it useful at some point.

For the price is actually quite nice I bought it for my daughter it has specific sections for writing Effectiveness ingredients and what you plan to achieve which is nice.It is just a cardboard paper cover but better quality than you would expect for the price I would definitely recommend purchasing this for your first one or if you have a large collection and don't want to spend money on the stereotypical fancy leather ones good for rough draft

Okay I read the reviews, saw some photos and thought I'd give this a try. Good thing I have a 16 yr old granddaughter to give it to. I guess it's ok, if you want a pre-made sectional to write down and catalog your spellwork, but I find the captioned spaces to small to write in. I prefer my BoS. This might be fun if you're really bored, but not sure how. It's more of a "list ingredients in this one inch space, the date and did it work"? IF that is what you want--then order.

Best book I've ever bought my daughter she uses it everyday and it's almost filled up I'm going to have to find her or get her another one she writes all her spells down in it... It came too good hands!! Great price!!

I just love my new spell book! I can't wait to write in it. It has the wheel of the year, list of spells, and pages for you to diy spellcasting. I'm very blown away by it. granted it's a paperback book, but it's worth every penny. It's the best investment I've ever made for my Witchcraft practices.
