Lightest weight carrier
This is one of the lightest in weight pet carriers I have found that is still durable and well constructed. If you are worried about the weight restrictions this one will do you a solid. I have a small jack Russell and she fits in it just fine. The expandable part is nice for hanging out in the airport.

3rd Sherpa
I have three Sherpa bags, as I am not sure which I can use and when. This one comes with two rods that you zipper in the top across the ends, to keep the top a little more sturdy. I feel like you have to take at least one rod out to fit under a seat. I am flying to Norway and ended up going with my Sherpa Delta as I am afraid those seats will be a problem on the hight. I don't want to end up turned away at the airport. My dog loves all the bags.

PERFECT SOLUTION TO HAVE YOUR DOGS ON PASSENGER SEAT!!
I was in a dilemma because I have 2 little chihuahuas. One of them is so restless. She will immediately put her claws up on my doors and everywhere in the car. I just got a new Cadillac, and there's no way. I'm gonna let her terrorize it. And then I discovered this particular carrier! The flip down extra space is GENIUS!!!! One little trick that I did is if you go to IKEA. They sell A $7.99 sheepskin. Fits wonderfully... these are so cheap, you can just replace the sheepskin every couple of months. PLUS PERFECT FOR AIR TRAVEL AS A CARRY ON. Only bad thing is zippers are a little problematic sometimes. The solution to that is just carefully used the zipper and keep it straight when you zip. This is a BUY

0/5 stars
Multiple seams were falling apart but even aside from that the the carrier felt quite flimsy. The whole bag had a terrible chemical/urine smell. the zippers got stuck more often than not. Hope for others’ sake that the one I received was a fluke.

Good concept but not for me
I'm trying out a lot of carriers for upcoming plane travel for my dog and still deciding between a few, however, I knew right away this is not the one for me.Pros:-nice concept of an expandable compartment for your dog to stretch out in, BUT...-compact size that may be good for very small dogs (but tight fit for my 8 lb Maltese)-nice to have ventilation on both ends of the carrier, BUT ... since the mesh is soft, it make the ends feel less safe / less sturdy / less protection for your pet insideCons:-mesh on this carrier is softer, more pliable than other Sherpa carriers, so feels less sturdy-when zipped up, sherpa lining that otherwise would extend into the expandable area sits awkwardly as a side wall inside the carrier and can flop down on your dog-no mesh at the top of the carrier for you to look in on your pet-zip on side opening is not at the outer border, so makes for a smaller entranceway to get your pet in and out ofMight be a good carrier for short local trips in the car or to the vet, but felt too cumbersome and sides not sturdy enough for plane travel.

Sherpa pet carrier works
It works well. Our pups are 20 lbs, so this size was barely large enough, but the airline accepted them for in-cabin transport. We really like the fold-out on the side. It helped the pups to have a little more space.
