I recently purchased the FOTYBEI 10-piece Carbide Burr Set for my Dremel, and I'm incredibly impressed with the quality and performance. SUMMARYSince I devoted only an hour or so to evaluating what arrived, I’d probably give these four stars for quality; it will take months before I have had sufficient time to have used these for a wide variety of projects. But, given the small amount of money they’re asking for these, and based on today’s evaluation, the value is six stars (out of five). So, overall, five stars. I’d definitely recommend these for family and friends and would buy these again after I’ve broken a couple of my favorite burrs.DETAILS👍 The ten carbide burrs arrive in a practical plastic holder (see photo #1). The holder was of limited value for me since I had plenty of empty spaces in my Dremel-brand tackle box-like organizer. But some will need and appreciate this holder since it isn’t the silly wooden open-top blocks one sometimes gets with sets like these.👍 I was amazed at the sharpness and highly polished finish on the burrs (photo #2).👍 I used the larger cylindrical burr on some 1/16th-inch mild steel and it was easy to find an RPM that wouldn’t chatter, gave me tactile feedback so I could apply the correct amount of force, and end up with a decent finish (photo #3). Though I had some hardened steel lying around, I didn’t feel like performing such a severe torture test; I’ll find out soon enough on a genuine project.👍 I was able to use that same burr on a 1/8th-inch sheet of ABS. Again, I ended up with a very smooth finish (photo #4).👍 After having ground the mild steel with the burr, microscopic examination showed no noticeable wear (photo #5).👎 The only downside is the shanks are “hard metric” at Ø 3.00 mm on the money, which is 0.118 inch, not 0.125 inch. My Dremel tool is decades old, still has the original Ø ⅛″ collet, and I had no trouble tightening the collet onto the 3 mm burrs to obtain a tight grip with no noticeable runout. However, some may have tools that have poor compatibility with 3 mm shanks, so take care in this regard.

I was needing to remove material from a metal part using my Dremel tool. I tried all the standard bits but none of them worked well. I found this set of carbide bits that claimed to be able to grind/remove metal. Let me tell you, these bits are amazing and cut/ground through my metal part like it was butter. I’m so glad I found these bits because they worked great and will come in handy in the future. I highly recommend these bits.

This kit gives many different options. Works well.

I used these to grind away the extra metal on the drill press housing which was preventing the return spring (nomenclature?) from seating properly. Now the tool works as intended. Thanks for turning a defiant teenager into a good adult drill press.

Really tears down steel! They're sharp, hardened but on the coarse side. I use them to be the bulk of the steel or aluminum and then a finer one for close fitting.

These are ligit, carbide I can't confirm but on plastic and aluminum they hold up very well, worth the price yes on stainless or schedule steel I can't tell you but I could confirm later
