Nickelodeon Plush Bubble Guppies Gil

I ordered all three (Mollie, Gil and Bubble Puppy) for my 8 month old niece's Christmas present. The tag says for ages 3 and up but these are 100% plush toys, with no little pieces that could possibly break off and be swallowed so safer for younger children as well.They are also amazingly cute. They are larger and better quality then I expected for an $11.99 toy. I knew the relative size from the product dimensions listed on amazon and they are accurate but I was pleased to find the toy more substantial then I had originally envisioned. It's a good handful for an adult and perfect hug and carry size for our little one, who's just starting to walk.These dolls are also much cuter in person than the screen shots show. I expected these to be more of a quick humor gift. Something funny to open up Christmas morning that the adults would appreciate more than the kids but not something that would be played with much. Good thing they are cuter then the pictures because they get played with a lot.I must say they are pretty durable. I can't attest to how well they hold up with older kids but for a toy that gets chewed, crawled over, thrown and fallen on regularly it's held up well. I haven't tried washing it yet so can't attest to the durability on that end. The tails are a more silky material so I doubt they'd wash well.My niece is absolutely enthralled with Bubble Guppies and has been since only a few months old. It's a cute cartoon for sure, although I'm not sure what it is particularly about this one show that mesmerizes her so much. She doesn't have any real interest in T.V. yet and other then a passing glimpse at the screen during other cartoons she's pretty much oblivious to every other baby show out there. That said, as soon as the first few strums of the Bubble Guppies theme song starts playing she immediately turns to the TV and can't look away.

When I first saw these they were pre-order only for $11.99. I procrastinated and didn't purchase them right away. By the time I came back to them, they were sold out. When they were finally available again, the mark up was insane!! I was upset that I missed out on the $11.99 price. However, after reading through other reviews and seeing that other people waited it out, I did the same. I checked them everyday a couple times a day and finally got lucky. I was able to purchase all 3 for $11.99. All 3 didn't drop in price together, but over the course of about an hour and a half. For me Gil was the first to drop in price, and it happened around 9pm EST. Gil was only available for about 8 minutes at $11.99. Bubble Puppy was next and he was available for almost 35 minutes at $11.99. I almost gave up on Molly because it was about an hour later that she dropped to $11.99. Like Gil she was only available at that price for about 10 minutes.I would definitely say if you can wait it out and try to only pay the $11.99. The mark up is ridiculous and if possible, no one should feed into that insanity!Overall I am ecstatic with the product. They are adorable and durable. I love all 3 of them. Now I wish they would come out with the rest of the characters!

I purchased all 3 of the Plush Bubble Guppies-Bubble Puppy, Gil, and Molly for my son for Christmas. These are simply adorable in person. Very good quality and large too! My son is going to love these when he gets them for Christmas. It is so hard not to give them to him now! These are very well made and for the price...wow! I would have easily paid double for each of these, they are just fantastic in person. A must for any Bubble Guppy fan out there!!

As with the other reviewers, I missed out on the initial release and came back to see the price up to 20-40$ a pop! No way! I stalked the price and waited for it to go back down to 11.99, then I scooped up all three (Gil, Molly and Puppy!) Don't pay more, it's not worth it!! Just keep coming back and waiting for the price to go down.These are cute dolls, very lightweight and the box was so light I didn't think they were all in there. They are firm but I think that helps them hold their shape. Each doll matches exactly to what you see on TV. The feel very durable and good quality. I've bought dolls like this before that were ready to fall apart out of the box, so I am pleased with these.I cannot wait to give these to my daughter but I'm saving them for her Birthday in January. I have no doubt she will love them (We already watched Bubble Guppies 3x today!) I only wish they would sell the other characters as well so she could have a complete set - although at 11.99 a piece I don't know if I'd buy all the characters.

much better quality and craftsmanship than the ones you find at toysrus. it is not a bath toy though as its listed, which was a pleasant surprise as it completes my daughter's set! its nice to have gil match the others in size and quality.This is still one of her 3 most treasured toys, along with Deema and Nonny. She takes them everywhere with her, and they are certainly showing her love. They all start with the seam on the neck and back splitting, then around the neck weakens and tears eventually (i've had to sew Gil's head back on three times now). Of course we've bought replacement guppies, and she prefers her original ones. I would still suggest them though because of the love and joy my little one has for them!

This little guy is so cute, and my 18 month old loves bubble guppies. For the most part he's pretty sturdy but the hair that flaps over his head detached after about 2 weeks. Now mind you, I have an 18 month old that will tug on anything not fully secured, and it looked like the hair is only secured by about 4 "stitches" of thread. Now he's got a side pony tail, but we got it at a good price, so I'm going to try to fix it.
