Used to connect computer speakers to vintage home stereo. Worked very well.

Bought 3 of these, 2 to get a signal from rear speakers in one car for a subwoofer amplifier integration into an existing OEM audio system without a factory subwoofer and the 3rd for my other car with a premium factory OEM sound system to upgrade the inadequate factory subwoofer. 2 needed in the first car, just removed a small section of the speaker wire outside coating to expose bare wire and soldered these across the exposed part, copper to copper. I don't recommend cutting factory wiring unless removing permanently, splicing into the existing wires without cutting them is the recommended method. If you don't solder or know someone who does, parts stores sell plastic splicing connectors with metal connectors inside that you can install with pliers or a crimping tool but I have not had the greatest of luck with them. Twisting and taping won't last long with the vibration from a powerful system, especially if you are adding subwoofer(s) The first car I attached one of these to each rear speaker so that there were 2 full range RCA connections which is supplying stereo ( 2 channel) signal into a crossover to filter out the high and mid frequencies and then into the mono subwoofer amp from the crossover. The second car has a factory amp and subwoofer but is highly inadequate for my bass needs so I used the 3rd one of these to grab the subwoofer signal from the connector between the source and the subwoofer amp to get a low voltage signal and ran that RCA straight to my subwoofer amp via a single RCA which I got separately for distancing my amp from the factory wiring as this can sometimes cause unwanted noise in the system. Both applications are working and sound quality is good. Very happy with these adapters.
